Your last point is exactly why Boston won't be there. Detroit can win in Boston, Boston can't win in Detroit.
If our Spurs make it to Finals, I want them to beat Boston rather than Detroit.
Reasons:
1. No team in NBA history has beaten 5 different teams in the Finals in 5 Finals appearances.(Knicks, Nets, Pistons, Cavs, and Celtics)
2. The ratings will be a lot higher, and someone outside of SA and the other team's city will actually see a game.
3. I want to stop those ubiquitous annoying tv ads with the un-holy trinity of Pierce, Garmett and Allen once and for all.
4. Boston can not win a game on the road, and our Spurs can.

Spurs will slaughter Boston. Unlike the Cavs and Hawks, spurs play top-notch defense and we can put the KG vs Duncan thing to rest. Although, it's pretty obvious Duncan will slaughter KG
One thing at a time. Lakers are far from a pushover.
Also they ing usurped the name Big 3 from the Spurs. Bas s, the problem with this is that they suck so bad that Pistsons will beat them.
stop with the re ed threads. WCF has not even started yet.
The bad thing about facing the Pistons is that Spurs will probably be more tired in the finals. Pistons had a relatively easy road and it's going to be easier once they take game 1 tonight.
Spurs had to go through a tough 7 game series with hornets and probably will take 6 games to off the Lakers. Pistons will already be waiting.
I think Pistons do in the Celts.
, the Hawks took them to 7 games. Cavs too.
Pistons will take them in 5 or 6.
We still have the Lakers guys...
Also, The Big Three...there have been The Big Three on many teams before, and if I'm not mistaken Boston had a Big Three in the eighties.
Anyway...Spurs in 6 over the Lakers
No, no, no! The sooner the Celtics get bounced the sooner that stupid ing Gatorade commercial starring the league's highest profile 4th quarter shrinker will stop airing. Of course, look for the Pistons to get jobbed at every turn in the ECF. We all know Stern's in the pocket of Big Electrolyte.
Assuming we make the Finals, I want Spurs-Pistons just to spite all the bitter Spurs haters out there hoping for a Lakers-Celtics final.
Can you read???
I said "if" the Spurs get by LA....not when.....mind your own business!!!!
I also wanted to point out the 5 different opponents in the Finals....which I think I am the only one that had noticed this before, because I had not read about it at all in any article previously, which I think would be pretty cool, IMO.
Oh, there will still be Spurs haters that will be disappointed if we get Boston....so you can have that too.

The way things are looking now, I would have to say Boston is a longshot to even make the Finals Jimbo.
I picked the Pistons to win the East PRIOR to the playoffs as I have known for years that KG is more bark than bite and Ray Allen has a disturbing tendency to fade away in the clutch.
I do give Doughboy credit for a big Game 7 for them, but he is one more gang sign flashing away from a 2 or 3 game suspension and Tayshaun Prince is going to give him a lot more problems than Wally Szerbiak did.
I am picking the Pistons in 6 games and wouldn't be shocked if they beat the Celtics down in 5.
At this point, Kevin Garnett could probably decapitate an official and not get suspended.
Somewhere, Tim Donaghy is putting out calls to a bookie through a 3rd party.
Gee Jim, I thought you said the Spurs were done after game 2.
Or was that some reverse mojo thing I wasn't aware of?
Joey Crawford wins in 5
Lakers and Celtics will combine for 500 free throws in the conference finals.
Possibly. That's about 36 free throws a game if each conference final goes 7 games.
Have to agree with you there.
Reason5: Boston won't try to bring in some weak ass championship belt with them. How re ed were the Pistons for doing that?![]()
I said "if"
My powers do not come into play with "ifs"
I made damn sure that I had that caveat.
