Hey thanks for the contribution Ducks.
NBA Forum??
where's everyone's good buddie wolves009?
He's in 009th place just like the Wolves.
However, Wolves are playing better ball (Wally now off bench et. al changes), I for one do not want them as a first round opponent, if they get some confidence - still a dangerous team!
Things are looking up though. Spree (finally) seems to be the odd man out. The bench is lights out, hudson is finally playing more like a marbury and less like a badshooting Kerr, hassell is d-ing up and so on. Griffen was 3 blocks away from a triple double last night, 28 blocks in the last 7 games. Cassell seems to have been swept under the rug but his numbers are very camparable to parker
15.7 PPG, 5.9 APG 48% FG in 29.9 MPG
to
15.5PPG, 6.1 APG 49% FG in 33.3 MPG
So he'll be welcomed back, especially with the stagnant offense of the starting unit as it is.
but they don't start today so who cares.
But then again, who in here actually thinks the Wolves will make the 2nd round ?
They went further than SA last year......that label is passe' now.
I know they did, but do you believe that they can beat one of the top teams this year?
1. * San Antonio --
2. * Phoenix 1.5
3. * Seattle 4.0
4. Dallas 5.0
Which one?
They just beat a healthy sonic team at seatle friday night and already beat PHX in Phoenix.
Anyone who thinks the Wolves aren't something of a threat, on talent alone, is foolish.
Of course, they'd better make the playoffs first, but that would seem to be a matter of time. Chemistry is dicey up there, though. Be curious to see if they can make it work -- hasn't looked promising so far this year.
You know what I hadn't considered?
Dallas could very well get the second best record in the NBA (And I think they will)... and they will only enter the Playoffs as the fourth seed.
In my estimation, that's precisely why it was so important for the Spurs to win that 3rd game with Dallas. Since the Spurs hold any tiebreaker, the Mavericks must now beat the Spurs outright in the standings, or the best they can hope for is the 4 seed.
