If you had to assemble a NBA starting lineup that consisted of players who were born in the same year, what players would you put on it? I haven't begun to research on this, but I'd be interested in seeing some squads people could come up with.

Damn, I started building a 1976 team that was similar. Okay, I'm going to pick a different year.
I'm in deep ....I picked my year.... 1971. The team of old, rickety farts:

Vin Baker, Forward
Brent Barry, Guard

Team 1972
STARTING LINEUP
C Shaquille O'Neal
PF Brian Grant
SF Eric Williams
SG Aaron McKie
PG Howard Eisley
BENCH
C Yinka Dare (It was either him or Shawn Bradley and even though Dare sucked and is dead [R.I.P.], he can't be any worse than Bradley)
PF Alan Henderson
SF Tony Dumas (The only thing I remember about his NBA career is he was in the slam dunk contest and was supposed to do a dunk called the 'Texas Tornado' ... but got out in the first round)
PG Khalid Reeves (Damon Stoudamire's backcourt mate at Arizona. Never made it in the league.)
PG Rick Brunson
PF ey Simpkins (Gotta have Michael Jordan's best friend on the team.)
PF Bill Curley (He allowed the Spurs to get Sean Elliott. Thanks, Bill)
you hate Rasho, what gives?
Uh maybe we could limit our selves to one lineup? You know give some others a chance to pick people?![]()
UUH I like this one!
Team 1962
C - Kevin Willis
Starters
5) Tim Duncan
4) Lamar Odom
3) Bruce Bowen (I would put Artest here if we were talking perfect world)
2) Manu Ginobilli
1) Steve Nash
Bench
5) Ben Wallace
4) Tyson Chandler
3) Grant Hill
2) Jason Terry
1) Luke Ridnor
Tim Duncan-I think Tim is the best center in the league and because i think championships begin and end with the low post, unless your last name is Jordan, I am going to make him the key player on my team
Lamar Odom-It was a toss up to me between Nowitzki and Odom but I chose Odom due to range AND athleticism, plus better defence, plus we know Odom can defer to other players, unlike a KG or Nowitzki. (Ben Wallace mkaes his lack of size a non-issue)
Bruce Bowen- I think scoring from the 3 is the least important part of an offense, however that no team can be succesful defenseivly (under 90 ppg) without a lock down perimeter defender.
Manu Ginobilli- Only option anywhere because his energy and defense, as well as his ability to score from anywhere on the court, makes him the perfect role player for this calibur a team.
Steve Nash- Orignially I was going to go with a Beno Udrih starting PG and a Bobby Jackson backup, but desided to go with Nash due to his quickness and range, this is a great defensive team so they don't need a stopper here, it would actually be good if the opposing PG was the leading scorer, because it keeps the other team from getting everyone involved. Luke Ridnour is quick, has range, and is pass first, I was debating he and Beno but desided to go with Ridnour because he is a higher energy player, and with Nash as the starter I was worried there would be too much drop off when Beno went into the game, I need an electric PG here.
Ben Wallace- I like his versatility, I can start him against the Jermaine O'Neals, Kevin Garnetts, and Rasheed Wallaces, and he is the first man off the bench to add rebounding, physical play, and shot blocking. The perfect 6th man
Tyson Chandler- Athletic and smart, he has developed a defensive game that plays well into our scheme, can score when needed and rebounds beautifully
Grant Hill- has a great defensive game and is automatic between 12-18 feet. He isn't starting due to durability issues.
Jason Terry- great energy player off the bench, I need a shooter and penetrator (the only reason I chose him over Parker here is his better range) who can provide instant scoring. Nick Van Excel also works here but he shoots for a lower percentage.
Luke Ridnour- see above.
Team 77

Thanks...was tough to do all that research.
Manu, Carter, Francis, Martin.... of a dunk squad right there.
Not a bad group, but they were born in several different years, methinks.
we're suppose to pick one year?
WTF
I like this one too, but I would have J O'neal starting at PF and Dirk at SF. And cuz I HATE Kobe, He would have Rip at SG and Kobe on ILWell not really, but I still hate him.
