Only thing that would make it tougher is if somehow we lost Tim and had to unleash our secret weapon, Matt Bonner. CIA Pop is holding him back for '09.
Think about how ridiculously hard the Spurs' path to the finals would be...
The game 1 double-OT game vs. Suns, Tim's fever, the game 7 road victory in New Orleans, the plane malfunction, coming back from being down 0-2 against the Lakers, then facing the Pistons or Celtics with an injured Ginobili.
Will it happen? Chances certainly aren't stacked in our favor...but if we do it would be the hardest-fought championship for the Spurs ever. They should get an asterisk for it being so damn hard. An anti-asterisk.
