Tied for Second now![]()
Not number 1, but if they can stay in second until august and pass the Cubs after they make their usual collapse, then things should be ok.
Go Brian Barton!
haha, Barton was awesome last night.
Hes got alot of potential, its a shame the Cardinals can't send him to Memphis so he can play everyday. I love his speed and his bat though. Good young outfielder for the future.
Plus that mofo could be an astronaut. That is awesome. So if the Cardinals win the championship, he can go put the Cardinals flag on the moon. Im dumb for sayin that. I really do like him though, and Itoo wish he could go there and polish his skills. I want to see him play everyday up here, but I guess there is only room for 1 speedster in the OF. I guess Skip/Ludwick rotate with Barton/Chris (you suck please leave) Duncan.
Chris Duncan with the 2 run single tonight?
The Cardinals are blessed with their outfield. If they can make a couple trades to tweak the roster, the will suprise and bite people in the ass.
I would trade Duncan for anything. I know he can be good sometimes, but he sucks, plus he sucks, not to mention he sucks. And dont even get me started on his fielding.
I don't think Duncan sucks. Hes a good hitter with AWESOME power who I think helps the team.
That being said, Joe Mather getting a chance to show his stuff tonight is exciting.
Bub...he's hitting 252 with 4 homers. I respect your openion, and he does have great power, but honestly, Id rather anyone play but him.
He also was hitting 330 and had more home rns than Pujols last year before getting hurt.
Before that he was a dman good hitter as well.
I would say this year is more of a flke than the time before this.
Ill give you this. At times he's pretty good, like Izzy. Other times, he sucks plain and simple. When he is slumping at the plate, his D dosent mkae you keep him up here, the did what they needed to do. Send him down, get some regular playing time, get our production up here, then trade him because he still has pretty good trade value, or bring him up later.
They aren't gonna trade him.
You don't trade young power hitting outfielders like him for nothing.
No, not for nothing. However he and Anthony Reyes make for a fairly nice package.
