He was hurt and Bayless is a class A idiot.
DD
anyone else see 1st and 10 on ESPN first take? skip went off on manu. he even took his jersey and threw it to the floorevery thing he said was on point and i agree 100%. but what i don't understand is why aren't you spurs fans crucifying manu also? he cost us the series, he choked...yet you guys wanna go meet him at the airport to say "i love you". that he needs to take the blame and be reminded of it everyday until we make the WCF again. remember how after 06 reportedly manu "felt bad" the entire off season for blowing the series against the mavs. and the next year we won. we should all hope that he is feeling 10x worse now.
MANU IF YOU ARE READING THIS I HOPE YOU CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT. YOU BETTER BRING YOUR BEST GAME NEXT SEASON . NO EXCUSES!!!!
He was hurt and Bayless is a class A idiot.
DD
If you step on the floor............NO EXCUSES! Manu played like a !
First of all, No Manu = No Playoffs. As easy as pie.
Other than that, few guys are as hard on themselves as Manu is. I'm pretty sure he couldn't sleep last night, and I'm sure he'll bounce back.
Manu said " I feel fine, better than the hornets series."
seriously spurs fans, stop making this excuse!
how can you be hurt when you suck the first few games, magically be better and drop 30, then be hurt again. MANU CHOKED. PERIOD.
We're not crucifying Manu because we're not spoiled insecure ing es like you are and we appreciate what Manu has done for this team and what he can do when he's healthy enough.
your sense of en lement.
(This is fun)
If you knew your head from your ass about ankle injuries you would understand. They are often not the same every day.
PopaMoron is who kept marching him out there and running the offense thru him instead of showing an ounce of faith in the bench and/or changing up the O strategy. Like Barry with 23 pts in 27 minuters. Derr er errrrr.
Forget the bad ankle.
Lakers were determined to stop Manu, and they did. They swarmed him like flies going to warm . The one night they kind of laid off him, he made them pay.
So if you and Bayless think this is "all on Manu", you're both idiots. You do know that other players are paid good money to make shots too, don't you?
I think everyone of the guys gave all they had to give. It just wasn't enough this year.
And that's the same way it's going to be for 29 other teams when all is said and done.
Did you even watch him play dude? He took 9 shots alot of them later in desperation mode. He was running with those long strides, typical of someone who has a limp and is hiding it.
He dropped 30 in game 3 because adreniline kicked in for one game, its not impossible for that to happen.
Even the 30 point game wasn't a classic Manu game. He was making his outside shots but he still wasn't creating the kind of havoc Spurs fans are used to.
Yeah I saw that last night. I was like just throw the ball to Barry you dorks. I am suprised that Pop didn't recognize that Barry had the hot hand and should have been the go to guy last night.
since the nba will be issuing fines next season with flopping...
trade him now while we still can
Mangoo is sooooooooo overrated. Duncan is the MAN!
Manu is a big part of the reason you lost, but Skip Bayless is still a moron. They should rename 1st and 10 to Skip Bayless gets punked by black people.
He should've roasted Pop more for not managing Manu's workload. He knew the guy was hurt.
Skip Bayless.....:p
bayless is a big spurs fan so yeah it's understandable he was pissed
Did you see the e-mails they read on the air? Some dude broke his 2,200$ tv out of anger cause of the spurs loss.
I agree, although in deference will admit Manu was injured. If he was any good, the series would have been far different, starting with a Game 1 win.
We better get a damn lot, he gets fined not us. We would not get value so the consideration is absurd. Furthermore, it's hard to find clutch value out there anyways. We just need certain pieces, the league is better b/c of us, so once again we must adapt. (W/O trading him)
No .
If you have to blame somebody, blame Pop...
Pop's rotations cost us game 1 and 4.
That said, the Lakers deserve the credit for beating the Spurs.
It wasn't like we lost game 1, 4, and 5 by 20 points...
all were close games, and all were winnable. Kobe just killed us.
but he didn't do anything this series. and to top of his poor shooting he was a turnover machine. how can you appreciate that? i'm sorry, you just can't. manu has to take the blame for this and i'm gonna make sure he feels it. whats the link to his official forum?
if you ever shot a basketball you'd know you don't need a 100% ankle to hit a set jump shot. manu couldn't hit anything AND HE WAS turning the ball over. he threw the ball away in crucial moments. so his ankle made him make poor passes? AND FOR THE 10684668 time manu said his ankle was fine!
btw skip called out pop on that too.
look we need to just call it like it is. MANU BLEW THE SERIES. lets be real spurs fans. tim showed up, tony showed up..if manu would've we would be in the finals.
Yeah poor you. It really sucks for you doesn't it.
Buy a ticket some time and then you can yell at him personally.
Manu is the reason the Spurs lost. Let's not try to dismiss that simply b/c we all love Manu. If Manu gives us a 15-20ppg in this series, we win the series. Game 1 and 5 proved that much in the 4th Qtr.
That being said, an honest assesment needs to be made on Ginobili. He is turning 31, he always plays hurt b/c of his "style of play", and he will eventually lose his explosion becoming a player like Finley or Horry.
I hate to say it, but what if the Spurs traded Ginobili? He still has value right now, and he could garner the Spurs two young players (perhaps J. Smith/R. Childress/J. Johnson combo from the Hawks) to play alongside Bruce, Tim, and Tony.
I'd hate to trade him, but I don't think he will ever be 100% healthy and that affects his game more than the other guys. Once he loses his explosion, he'll be nothing more than a role player.
"real spurs fans" don't throw All-Stars under the bus when they are dealing with injuries. Manu has too much class to use his injury as an excuse, but all you had to do was watch him play to know he was fighting it.
GTFO with your whining and ing already.
