Great second round pick, but will be gone early in that round.
Damn 25 this year.
Can be worth wit a second round pick but probably he'll be gone in the 30's
not much ofensivly but good in defense and seems to have the body to play inside in the nba
maybe a kind of ben wallace
I might consider taking a bit on this guy at 25. It really depends what's left on the board.
I wouldn't mind a banger/rebounder. Really, we could use one. We'd be better finding a SG/PG in FA.
Ben Wallace #2.
He's a bit more athletic than Ben in my mind, but their game is based around rebounding and defense. This is a hustle guy and I can see him being a solid player, but lacks some offensive game.
I think we have enough offensive options, that we can afford to draft a defensive minded player.
Especially inside , i don't know a lot about him but the more i see the more i like him
If someone who saw some memphis games can tell us if he could be a nice addition to the team
If he's a next Big Ben i'll take him , maybe by trading to the top of the 2nd round if he's there
Dorsey Outperforming Projected Lottery Picks: In Memphis yesterday there was quite the set of players, including probably top-seven pick Kevin Love, projected lottery pick DeAndre Jordan, and projected first-round choice JaVale McGee. Love was very impressive, according to Memphis General Manager Chris Wallace, but Joey Dorsey – a supposed second rounder – was the second-best player on the floor.
"He's gotten himself into great shape since the (Final Four) loss to the Tigers," Wallace told the Memphis Commercial-Appeal about Love. "He's working out well. He got good measurements at the Orlando Pre-Draft Camp. His athleticism is better than expected. He's going to do fine in the NBA and go in the upper half of the lottery."
Love's play was probably expected in that group, but Dorsey's surprised. His athleticism and his constantly staying right with Love could rocket him up draft boards if he keeps it up.
"Joey can play in the NBA," Wallace said. "He can be a rebounder, defender and energy guy. I think the draft is going to treat Joey much better than people would have thought at the beginning of the season."
Most predictions currently have Dorsey in the 32-36 range, but he very easily could move up to the mid to high twenties with a couple more impressive workouts like he apparently had in Memphis.
"I'm getting word that, 'Joey, you might be drafted in the first round because of your defense.' I'm like, 'Wait until they see my offense,'" Dorsey said. "With that, I think I can move up."

What worries me about Dorsey is his height. He's commonly listed at 6'9", but during the predraft combine, he measured 6' 6.25" w/out shoes. His long arms help to compensate but I question how he'd handle NBA players vs the college crowd he's been used to.
I appreciate the Ben Wallace comparisons, and realize he's also shorter than his listed 6'9". But Ben was the exception to the rule regarding undersized PF's.
45. San Antonio Spurs (via Toronto)
Joey Dorsey | PF | Memphis
I'm not sure how Gregg Popovich will handle Dorsey's off-the-court stuff, but the Spurs need some toughness and athleticism in the paint. Dorsey can provide it.
Dorsey is crazy and has a big mouth but he'd also bring a defensive energy the Spurs lacked at the bigman positions last year. I'd give a big thumbs up to Dorsey at 45.
Maybe Reggie Evans would be a better player to compare him to
Says the dumb who drafted Mike Conley and traded Pau Gasol for Jarvis Crittendon and then never played him.
