speedy claxton for picks was one...
sign and trade anderson for smith.
daniels for kerr.
draft pick to philly or speedy....
traded a retired ferry to indy in 3 way for hedo....
Didn't we do a 3-way trade to get Turkoglu from the Kings....???
Brad to the Kings
Hedo to Spurs
Scott Polard to Pacers
Danny Ferry to Pacers
Something to that effect...
The Anderson trade was just because he was going to leave anyways, and we didnt wanna get nothing for him.
oh ok. but thats relatively little compared to some teams i think. oh well. i think i know why we get such good draft picks. most of our picks are foreigners, and remember they play professional basketball from their teenage years, so maybe pop looks at that as experience points.
They trade their first round pick almost every year. Leon Smith became Giricek, who became Sato. Still waiting on the Barbosa pick, and SA might actually get it this year.
Next queston have SPURS ever made a trade before trade dead line
charles smith and monty williams acquired from new york.....
Sure.
The last one was in 1996, when the Spurs traded J.R. Reid, Brad Lohaus, and a first round pick to New York for Charles Smith and Monty Williams. [as Zak explained]
They also made two deals in 1990, trading Maurice Cheeks to New York for Rod Strickland, and trading Vernon Maxwell to Houston for $50,000 in cash.
Before the Robinson era began, the Spurs made a number of deadline deals; most of them weren't too good.
Who could forget that 1987 deal that sent Mychal Thompson to LA (where he was a key piece to a Lakers' le) in exchange for Frank Brickowski and Petur Gudmundsson?
