No.
Fakers get manhandled in game #1 so you gotta ask...
Did the NBA GIVE LA the WCFs?
If so, they sent a girl to do a man's job if we use tonight's game as a barometer.
No.
It was not a fluke, it proved that those seedings, however close, were valid. However, the Spurs series should have gone longer.
On a side note, the Spurs should have been in the 2006 Finals, where Dallas had no business being there.
LA got man handled?
I don't think so. They were in this game the entire way through, despite Kobe playing like Manu Ginobli.
so Kobe scoring 24 points is playing like Manu, man then, if only Manu scored 24 pts in every game of the Lakers/Spurs series, and its the Spurs in the Finals
so the truth finally comes out
you are also lucky, an injured Pierce didn't go off for 30 on your ass
Kobe scoring 24 pts on 29 shots is playing like Manu Ginobli.
Manhandled? Not really. Fluke? Not even close.
The Spurs couldn't finish the job, and they lost. End of story.
I love how the game being close all the way until the final minute is now all of a sudden a manhandling blowout.
The Spurs gave the Lakers their WORST spanking of the playoffs in Game 3. This was nothing like that. This was more like what Utah did to the Lakers in Game 3. Just beat them on pure heart and effort. The Lakeshow will rebound, I can guarantee you Kobe will play better than this, and they have a great shot at stealing Game 2.
I'm actually not worried about our chances until we lose one of those 3 games at home.
Not a fluke but i know with Manu at 100% that series at least goes 7 games. 3 of the losses were razor thin close and the Spurs could have won them had Manu been able to do anything. The one game he was Manu we smoked the Lakers. Celts are healthier and deeper than us, they can win this series.
When does Manu shoot 29 shots???
![]()
manu is also one of the most efficient scorers in the game, he doesn't need 29 shots to score 24
Manu knows his place on the Spurs. He is not their best player so when he is off, he does not try to force his shot all the time.
The Lakers are really not that good. But they were better than the Spurs.
Manhandled??? Dude, it was a close game pretty much the whole way. Just what you'd expect from the two best teams in the league this season.
Yeah this game was close. And they were playing on the road. I still expect this series to go 7 games.
It sucks that the NBA Finals are now 1 game series.
No kidding, props to the Celtics, it's awesome that Garnett, Pierce and Ray Allen finally have their rings.
Now i know what Rasheed Wallace was talking about. Flopping and floundering, that Pierce injury was a joke. The angle they kept showing on tv was horrible, I couldn't see where he had contact on the knee. One of the worst fake @ss flops i've ever seen.
Checked out some BOS boards and it's hilarious to see their take on the game. They all seem to think this was one of the most epic games in playoff history. I guess their memory of the playoffs is a little hazy since they've sucked for 2+ decades.
Fluke or not, we still defeated the spurs in 5 that's all it matters.![]()

So the Lakers goal was to beat the Spurs, not win the NBA championship? Works for me.
Celtics in 4.
From a neutral perspective it was epic. Close game throughout, Pierce gets hurt and then comes back, hits those back to back threes and then Boston finishes strong. Too many blowouts in this playoffs, nice to see a close game with some drama for a change.
Seriously brah you need to stop acting so offended whenever people aren't all over the Lakers nutsack.
Championship or not we STILL defeated your ass in 5 and the lakers are the team in the final not your spurs so STFU!!![]()
But if you lose in the Finals then the Lakers and Spurs both end up as losers in the big picture. You don't get rings for coming in 2nd, .
