Any team that is first in the league when their SUPERSTAR is not 100% has to be deep.

Plus, our bench can hold its own w/ a lot of starting 5's in the league.

That's why when June comes around, the Spurs will still be standing and the Suns will not.

will not matter how deep the spurs are if duncan or tp is out for a long time
the spurs may not have the best record
I think spurs could lose some if manu goes down to.
I am not still sold on beno being the starter if tp was hurt.
the point guard makes the team go. duncan is clearly better then tp but if tp stuggles the spurs struggle

suns were rolling then nash went down and lost several games
spurs could do the same thing

Seattle are the deepest team, most bench points per game and they have two 6th man of the year contenders. Plus energy guys like Fortson and Collison.

^ Yes, but the Spurs are "deeper" thinkers.

spurs have better defense and more experience but they don't have better bench players. The benches are close but the Sonics can throw alot of guys who can score and rebound at you. And are packed at the guard and SF spot.

we are very deep but that means nothing. anything can happen in the playoffs(.4 shot for example)we havent won anything yet. Its still gonna be hard.

I like our backcourt depth, but am not all that confident in our frontcourt back-ups. Horry, Rose, Massenburg, and, at least until Rasho gets back, Marks is a good, but not great bigman corps. And if Malik can't keep his emotions in check, we're actually pretty thin up front. We could really use a tall SF off the bench too so let's hope Linton gets healthy and can contribute a bit.

you're right anything can happen in the playoffs and spurs fans know all too well who stopped us from winning the championships in 2000,2001,2002. The spurs have been a very deep team for several years. We haven't lost by more than ten points in any of our losses and we lost several times by one point. We literally" opened a can of whoop ass" on a lot of the really good teams and lost to some of the weaker teams because we didn't bring our A game.

The spurs will turn it up a few notches in the playoffs and Timmy will be 100% by then. Our group of guys are too talented, too strong minded and most importantly, coached by one of the best coaches in the league. Not only that, but several of the guys on the team have a championship under their belt if not together, with other teams. Been there, done that!

I'm not saying it will be a breeze, but now that the fakers are dismantled, it won't be nearly as hard getting to the finals. I don't think there is one team out there in the west or east that can handle us in a 7 game series.

As long as Tony continues to play like he wants another championship and not like he is playing in a scrimmage, then we are the 2005 champs. So get the champagne ready. Fiesta will be in June this year.
