No reason to be dissapointed, those are his season numbers, his numbers for the month of January are:
20.9 50% 53% 1.7 8.1
His numbers could be higher but let's keep in mind that he may just be the fourth option at best....
I am somewhat disappointed with Brent's performance so far, he is an excellent shooter and til' now he has been passing up too many open looks. Make or miss you he should always be looking to shoot, and he is a vet and should know win or lose but go with "what got you here."
I think he is an awesome player but he just needs to get over the hump and stop trying to impress new teamates. against the suns he came up cluch and he just seemed confident...realistically he should avg 9-15ppg.
current stats:
MPG FGM-A FG% 3PM-A 3P% OFF DEF TOT APG SPG BPG PPG
19.6 104-239 .435 56-153 .366 .30 1.70 2.10 2.1 .52 .22 6.9
Preffered/assumed:

Yeah, he's still passing up the occasional shot, but I would look at this in another light.
It seems as if every week, Barry is becoming more and more comfortable with the team. , even his defense is improving. In the Suns game, he showed off the ice water in his veins more than once.
Barry's not going to be the guy off the bench who needs to score 20 every night. He's going to spell Ginobili, be a clutch option deep into the season, and provide the spacing/command a defender when teams drop two and three guys on Duncan.
His play in the Phoenix game alone earned him his contract in my opinion.
The rest is gravy.![]()
Agreed he was a stud. And he will only get better with
more time playing with the team.![]()
I'm very pleased at Brent's recent inclination to take it to the hoop.
He is passing up some open shots, and the next guy really doesn't seem to have that much more open of a shot. Seems like Brent is still a little shot-shy.
As Sean said the other night, when he and Manu are in a fast break, it can be quite a passing circus.
Brent needs to follow the tradition and show up big against his former team tonight. We will probably need his offense, and he could insist on pushing a break as much as Tony does. Brent's pretty damn fast in a straight line and dribbling as he goes.
