Stephen's gotta be pissed after this game...
He could've won it for indiana. They lost 88-89 to the sixers.
Korver seems pretty good

I hope he's losing it.
couldn't happen to a better guy.
GO Philly (my second favorite team). Beat Dallas and Indiana back to back = stout.
Out.

Oh man... two days in a row![]()
http://www.sportsline.com/nba/gamece...050202_TOR@IND :
The Pacers still appeared to have the game in control after Jeff Foster was fouled by Donyell Marshall with 1.9 seconds remaining. Foster hit both free throws for a 97-96 lead, but after a Toronto timeout, the Raptors inbounded to Rose, who went to the basket, was fouled by Jackson and hit the winning free throws with 0.4 second to go.
They lost by 1 point again :p
It's really amazing how badly IND and MIN are playing this year compared with their league-leading W-L records last year, with essentially the same teams and coaches (minus Artest).
Then you look at how consistent the Spurs are from year to year (on the entire season, not per-game), with some pretty significant player turnover in the last few seasons.
So true man. That's why the Spurs are the best. I expected Indiana to do poorly w/out their 3 key players, and now their chemistry is all screwed up.
But Minnesota has surprised the out of me and probably everybody else. This is almost the EXACT SAME TEAM that got to the WCF last year. I think it's their defense that's letting them down. Even KG's defensive #'s are very low compared to last year's (he isn't even in the top 20 in blocks).
thanks for the memories, jack. one of those banners in the sbc hangs due in no small part to your efforts.
Rose didn't go TO the basket he went TOWARDS the basket. He was out around the top of the circle and driving to his right when Jack just kind of backed into him and got in his way. If Jack was on the Spurs still and did that Pop would have a coronary.

Indiana had been destroyed with injuries early in the season. That, plus the suspensions, is a big part of why they aren't the same. With that being said, I would have thought that with Jermaine and Jack back, they'd win some games... and so far that isn't happening. But maybe when Tinsley gets back, they'll improve. It's really amazing how badly IND and MIN are playing this year compared with their league-leading W-L records last year, with essentially the same teams and coaches (minus Artest).
Was Jack in the wrong place at the wrong time on that foul... or was it just a dumb play? The replay looked like Jack got suckered on a veteran move.
I like Jack and hope he can continue to mature as a man (first) and as a basketball player (2nd). Right now, it's still high-highs and low-lows, sometimes both on consecutive trips down the floor.![]()
I don't dispute his hitting a few big 3's for Spurs, but he's a crappy FG/3G % shooter, is T0-prone ("he keeps both teams in the game"), and is just dumb about basketball.
For ATL, he single-handedly blew a ATL win over MEM @ATL last season. With ATL leading and a 5 or 6 seconds left, he went for a steal at midcourt of an after-timeout in-bounds pass, missed the steal, and his man, Mike Miller?, dribbled close enough, unguarded, for the game winning and open 3G. All SJax had to do to preserve the ATL win was let Mike catch the in-bounds pass at mid-court and impede his advance and not let him have an open shot. dumbass.
Gee, Manu did the same thing twice against the Hornets in the waning minutes to give them a win at the SBC Center last year.
But the code word "dumb" can't ever apply to him.
indeed Shoog.
0 and 6 for Pacers right now around time he is coming back and back, make your own assessment. Jackson can be a stud, is feerless about his abilities, but he also was beyond Malik sometimes in dumb stuff as well.
I am much happier with Manu, Brown and Barry than any previous combination especially as Beno can also host them up!
MadDoc
I think that about sums it up.Jackson can be a stud, is feerless about his abilities, but he also was beyond Malik sometimes in dumb stuff as well.
I remember the Manu screw-up vs Hornets, and it was just as bad and frustrating, but Manu doesn't make a habit of it, and any observer can see Manu has plenty of bball smarts and court sense. dumbass SJax isn't in the same class.
As for disrespect for Jax, I think he probably did the right thing in leaving. If he hadn't, he might have been derided while still playing for the Spurs, much like another shooting Jackson who was instrumental in winning a le in 99, and was later pictured in forums photoshopped onto a homeless person's body.
maliks another good example. spurs fans will tolerate a starting center who plays like a big pussy in the paint but dammit if malik misses that one jumper he takes a game or if he mishandles a pass well trade him.
think about it, rasho had to be put through drills of dunking the basketball. gdamn.
i dont recall many spurs fans getting so irate about the clod known as will perdue back in the day
Of course we don't have a complete season or playoff experience for Beno yet, but doesn't it seem so far that his 3pt % is higher than Jax and his on-court sense of the game and TO ratio is far superior?
Maybe Jax did us a favor by snubbing the Spurs.
Are you guys this dumb?
How many 4th quarter FTs has Duncan missed?
Jackson has been playing better than expected after being suspended for 30 games.
