    Sewage plant 'honour' for Bush

San Francisco - Other US presidents have Mt Rushmore, statues, airports and libraries.

When US President George W Bush leaves office in January he may well have another monument to his achievements: a San Francisco sewage plant.

That's the idea behind a ballot initiative that's likely to be put before San Francisco voters in the November elections when the satirically-named Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco will ask voters to approve changing the names of the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant to the George W Bush Sewage Plant.

During the inauguration, the group also wants supporters to participate in a "synchronised flush", which they say would be a "fitting monument to this president's work".

To the conservatives on the board:

I am sorry, but this was too funny to pass up.

I think it's slanderous to name something that controls pollution after George W. Bush.

I dunno, the way that Republicans like to pretend they are the 2nd Coming of Reagan by the constant comparisons that "I'm like Reagan when I do X", it seems somewhat more suitable.

    for tat at any rate.

    Stay classy San Francisco.

A typical action from a city full of literal c***suckers.

I should have used a bunch of additional excessive police force to clean up San Francisco before I retired along with my S & W Model 29.

San Francisco has a sewage plant. I didn't know that. I thought they processed everything through Nancy. She is so good at spreading sewage in Washington.

Come to think of it, when I was ther in 1997 for Semicon at the Moscone Center, I could swear their sewage treatment was the city streets. When it rained, the smell of the city was so disgusting of urine. I otherwise enjoyed the trip.

Wow... They finally get a sewage treatment plant? Hopefully the city no longer stinks.
