So they didnt match 11 mil for Evans, but they want to pay Monta Ellis 12mil and trade two guys to do so. Lmao
The Kings are reportedly looking to grab Monta Ellis, because they believe you can never have too many ball-dominant guards, apparently. And in those efforts, they're looking to move som salary to make Ellis, a free agent, a sizable offer, including trading Jimmer Fredette. From CBSSports.com's Ken Berger confirms an ESPN report:
It's not clear what the market is for Ellis at this point, but a league source confirmed to CBSSports.com on Monday that the Kings are investigating their options for moving Chuck Hayes and Jimmer Fredette to accommodate Ellis' desire for a contract starting at $12 million per year. It may be Ellis' last chance to recoup the money he opted out of in Milwaukee.

A very bad signing
Wow. This wouldn't have happened in Seattle
LOL WTF? I'd much rather have Evans since he has some upside than trade for Kobe Jr.
And what about the Bucks? They'd be far better off just letting Ellis walk. Getting Hayes and Fredette is worse than getting nothing. Especially Hayes, who is still owed 11.7M over the next two years.
Especially since they already have bigs and will sign ZaZa.
ZaZa, Hayes, Udoh, and Gooden all making between 4.5M and 7M, with at least three of the four getting no significant playing time.
this...
From the bucks to the kings. Moving from one awful franchise to another one.
kings
is this real life? Another small guard? Holy
God damn Kings, what are you doing?
The kings are ensuring another high lottery pick next year. Makes me thankful I follow the spurs.
Cosigned. So many of these teams are perennial bottom dwellers, simply hoping to skim money off of the successfully run franchises. I can't imagine being a fan of Bucks, or garbage like the Bobcats etc....
Cousins and Monta on the same team would make for great entertainment, tbh..
Like Ive always said more than half the GMs in the league have no idea what theyre doing. You could pick a random poster from the NBA Forum and theyd most likely do a better job than some of these re GMs.
Monta is like the best FA available in the market right now but does he have a higher ceiling than Tyreke Evans? I doubt it. Kings ed themselves by letting a promising superstar walk and replaced by a marginal all-star who's already playing at his full potential and starting to decline soon.
Exactly.
Jesus thats going to be a bad team.
