Salim Stoudamire, who is having to deal with a strained groin in his fight to make the Spurs' roster, participated fully in Wednesday morning's shootaround and could play in tonight's preseason game against Washington, according to the team's medical staff.

Rookie point guard George Hill, who is battling a sprained thumb on his left (non-shooting) hand, also went through practice Wednesday, but will be held out of the game for precautionary reasons.

Hill is expected to return for Friday's preseason finale against Miami.

Salim doesn't really have a choice. He only has two games left to prove his worth. But how effective will he be still dealing with the injury? It is doubtful he is 100%. TBQH...I don't think it will matter.

As far as the game being televised I saw it on my guide yesterday. I think it is channel 562 for Dish...but it could be one above or below.

I hope Salim is able to give a good showing. I don't want to pass on a potentially helpful player b/c injury prevented us from getting a good look. But I also don't want to sign a guy that just doesn't fit and pass on Hairston/Farmer/Watkins as a result.

Tolliver is all but a lock. Pop has basically said it without saying it. He has not shot well but has shown a lot of potential in other areas and already looks to be a smarter player than Bonner IMO. I think he has a good all round skill set. In the game against the Pacers he had 3 steals and 8 boards (4 offensive) in 20 min. We need a player that can do things like this. He will likely shoot less as he get himself acclimated to the system and will become a good hustling forward in the Carl Landry mold.

Shame Thomas got hurt early on, I think him and Duncan still can have a great offensive chemsitry on cuts, curls, backdoor lobs and what not. Two very smart and very good passers in the front court has always been a staple of championship spurs teams, and Thomas fills on that other side of that.

Shame Thomas got hurt early on, I think him and Duncan still can have a great offensive chemsitry on cuts, curls, backdoor lobs and what not. Two very smart and very good passers in the front court has always been a staple of championship spurs teams, and Thomas fills on that other side of that.Thomas and Duncan offensively fit fine. Defensively, when they are on the court at the same time, the Spurs become slooooooooow. Which is the main reason the Wiz have had such a good first half.

Bonner and Salim both made some really dumb basketball decisions in the first half. When things get rough while Manu is gone I can't really see either of them stepping up.

Farmer seems to have more confidence and fire - things we'll need.

I'd say Pop would call Robert Horry up 1 day before the playoffs and he'd rather play him than Bonner. I just don't see why Bonner is on the team. Matt still can turn it around though so we'll just have to see how much time Pop gives him to do it.
