Great, McDyess is in less than five minutes in, meaning he's playing next to Duncan. What's the issue, you say? Pop's reluctance to play McDyess significant minutes and (particularly with this being the first game of a back-to-back) that means that the rotation is out of whack and at some point in the half we'll likely see the severely undersized Blair-Jefferson "big" combination, which will probably doom the Spurs in this game. That and Duncan is on pace for a 36-38 minute game, which is never good, particularly given the situation at hand. Of course, all of this could be remedied by playing Ratliff for a good 8 or so minutes in this half...but I guess he wouldn't be able to pay for two weeks if that occurred. Knowing Pop, after the 9+ minutes Ratliff played last game, we're not seeing him until sometime next week.

The entire rotation is out of whack. Pop needs to make a decision. Worst case scenario, which the Spurs are heading for, is that he overplays them, they lose and look gassed tomorrow.

Jefferson is big, strong, athletic, durable and in his prime, yet this retard coach thinks he can never handle major minutes.

It sure does and it's mostly because of this coaches refusal to use his brain. Ratliff should have played 12-15 minutes in this game and Jefferson should have played around 40 minutes, so that the Spurs could limit the big three's (mainly Duncan's) minutes and still set themselves up to win.

Sometimes it's out of necessity due to foul trouble/rotational purposes, but other times, like this current time, it's the coach just flat out being an idiot. It's as if he's determined to cost the Spurs this game tonight and it's unfortunate, because tomorrow they face a high octane offense with two mobile bigs. It will not be an easy game, so making sure this one is a win is imperative.
