Morrison worked out for several teams in Las Vegas, including the Wizards, and an individual workout with Coach Flip Saunders.
"I haven't played basically in two years, so I'm just looking for a place to get some quality minutes and try to get back in that rhythm again," Morrison said in Las Vegas.
Morrison worked out for the Celtics last week.

Arenas was infamously involved in the locker room gun incident with Gilbert Arenas during the 09-10 season.
It's worse than I thought, Gilbert apparently has multiple personality disorder and was threatening himself with a gun.

The Blazers have signed Oberto to a one year deal.

Not a bad signing, I always think of Portland as a team with too much depth, but not as far as big guys go. Their problem is they have 8 guards.

Camby, Aldridge, Oden, Pryzbilla, Cunningham, Overto, Pendergraph (before he got hurt)
Almost all of them are injury prone, but I would go as far as saying when healthy they have to many big guys, especially centers, adding Oberto at this point seems a bit strange.

That has to be the most injury-prone-dense big man rotation in the NBA. Camby, Oden and Zilla are a pretty good bet to lose at least a season between them. Still, an odd move given the youngsters - maybe the coaching staff don't have faith they'll amount to anything? I thought they played okay in stretches last year.

Knowing how sensitive, calculated and paranoid the Blazers organization, I wouldn't doubt that this signing was, in part, for espionage reasons.

Signing Oberto made a lot of sense for Blazers.
Oden, Przybilla and Pendergraph are out because of injuries. Blazers only had Aldridge, Camby (who has had been injured during the trainign camp) and Cunningham. 3 bigmen isn't enough even if they have Babbitt who can play some PF. They really needed to add a bigman.

Sources: Blazers to deal Jerryd Bayless

The Portland Trail Blazers have found a trade to create some extra roster room, agreeing Saturday to deal guard Jerryd Bayless to the New Orleans Hornets for a conditional future first-round pick, according to sources close to the situation.

What Blazers have done this summer is interesting. They have traded away Webster and Bayless for picks, they added 3 rookies (Babbitt, Williams and Johnson) and they signed a young player with their MLE (Matthews).
To me, it was the smart thing to do. Blazers weren't good enough to be a true contender. Taking a step back to add some talent could pay in a couple of years.

Heat Release Butler, Beverley
Oct 25, 2010 5:13 PM EST
The Heat have trimmed their roster to the league maximum of 15 players ahead of Tuesday's season opener against the Celtics.
Miami released guards Da'Sean Butler and Patrick Beverley.
Butler was one of the team's three second-round picks this past June and he had been recovering from knee surgery after tearing his ACL while playing with West Virginia in the NCAA tournament.
Beverley, a second-round pick in 2009, spent last season playing in Greece after the Heat acquired him in a draft-night trade.

Pacers Set Roster By Releasing Rolle
Oct 25, 2010 5:34 PM EST
The Pacers set their roster for the 2010-11 season on Monday by releasing rookie big man Magnum Rolle.
Rolle would have earned a guaranteed contract of $510,000 if he had made the roster.
Indiana traded the 57th pick and cash to Oklahoma City to acquire Rolle, the 51st pick, on draft night.

If only he could shoot a corner 3....
The Clippers released Marqus Blakely today. I think he'd make a serviceable backup 3, if he could shoot the long ball. He's quick, athletic, has a freakish wingspan, and defends his ass off. He's also a smart kid, and a character guy like the Spurs look for.
The Clips were in bigger need of another big, and Jarron Collins played well in the pre-season, but it was still a last-minute decision to let Blakely go. I'd love to see him on the Toros. If there is a team that would appreciate his game, and help him develop, it's the Spurs. I think he has potential to be a sleeper pickup.
