Get used to it; that team is going to be a juggernaut next year. Knight staying to get his degree in 2 more years wouldn't surprise me at all. Like I said earlier, racking up assists to Anthony Davis and Michael Gilchrist could do a lot for his future draft stock too. How fucking sick would it be to have Marquis Teague as your backup point?
Scary. I mean, the starting five + 1 next year could conceivably all end up as big NBA contributors in 2013.

BB, what isn't fair is that I live in Lexington and my GF is a UK grad. If they win it all it's going to make these people even more insufferable than they already are. Yes, that includes my irrational girlfriend who bought a UK blue car and decorated her Apt in blue and white. Needless to say, we spend most of the time at my place, lol.
That class is indeed sick, and what if Knight comes back next year?

Well lookee here, Kamikaze Player shows up to fail at reading comprehension.
That State school education is working out brilliantly for you, huh?
I know what you can do with your shitty degree. How about following Dez Bryant around and pulling up his entourage's pants for them while they're at the mall?

I'm going to put this in bullet points so you can understand it
- You can't cover up getting owned by saying "lol trollable"
- using acronyms won't make people like you or help you to fit in
- there is a helpful program called "hooked on phonics" that may assist with your reading comprehension problems
Remember, don't let your self esteem get too low! There are others like you, I promise!
Thanks and good luck

Marquis Teague would withdraw his commitment the second Knight announced his return

Is that speculation, or is there something more to that?

It's very educated speculation. When has a premier PG ever signed with Calipari's school to stay for more than one year. I highly doubt Teague has any interest in a multi-year college career. It seems pretty likely he wants a good team where he can get immediate PT and go pro after one year.

I think this March Madness is probably the best one. Well, it has to be the best one in my lifetime. Who would have predicted that Butler and VCU would be in the Final Four? I did not jump on the VCU bandwagon until they got to the Sweet 16 mainly because I thought they were a mini-cinderella team. I know you can't predict these things but I really think VCU has a chance of winning it all. I would say I'm probably 60% to 75% confident that whoever wins the VCU-Butler game will win the championship.
What would happen in the NBA if the Conference Finals matchups in this year's playoffs were like the Final Four this year? Would Stern kill himself?

So according to ESPN, only 2 people out of 5.9 Million have correctly predicted the NCAA tourney so far.

:lol that actually surprises me. Usually the first round knocks out all but 1-2 brackets.

The odds are so stacked against it that I'm truly shocked to see 2 correct brackets so far out of 5.9 million in a tournament this chaotic. That's a pretty high number even in a normal year.

I'm almost certain that it's "only one or two brackets have correctly predicted the Final Four." I don't think any perfect brackets are left.

Yeah that's what I thought I read as well. I'd be shocked if any bracket was still perfect after the first 2 rounds.

I think those brackets were also done by people who did several brackets for shits and giggles. I know a scro who did 10 for fun. A couple of them had to be right.

You are correct, I double checked the info, and it was for the Final Four, not the whole tourney.

I'd like VCU to win it all, but I'll go with Butler as well.
I have a feeling Kentucky will crush UConn and then have a letdown in the NCAA championship game. I'm sure nobody really remembers this, but in that early Hawaii tournament at the beginning of the year, Walker went off on Kentucky and it looked like he was showboating in front of their bench. I think UK will really be amped to get revenge.
It's hard to predict the Butler-VCU game but I think the winner of that game will be the National Champions

North Carolina played really immaturely on Sunday. They had the better talent across the board and seemed to really be dysfunctional throughout most of the game. I don't know what Roy Williams was on, but leaving John Henson out after his 2nd foul to which he quickly got his 3rd was a gamble he should've never made. To have your 2nd best low post player in foul trouble and subsequently foul out for the first time in his career, albeit a short one, was unacceptible.
Ohio St. seemed to play the same way. Don't know if Kentucky will beat UConn because the Huskies have been playing lights out since the beginning of the wrongfully vaunted Big East tourney. I think Kemba will play well, but the guy Kentucky will not be able to counter is Jeremy Lamb. They'll need a big game out of their own Lamb and Jones to counter the Walker/Lamb duo and the size of Oriyaki and the other African dude the Huskies have.
Either way, both the bluebloods will be getting after it because they see what's on the other bracket and will be licking their chops (see: Duke). However, either the Rams or Bulldogs will be a tough out and I wouldn't be surprised to see either team win it all. I would like Butler to win it, but VCU would shut the so-called experts up who whined and bitched about Virginia Commonwealth being included in the field of 68. This is also the decisive game of who gets the bigger payday: Brad "McLovin" Stevens or Shaka "May I see your I.D., please" Smart.

I imagine playing a "mid-major" in the championship is even more hard than playing them in a regular game. You just beat all these great teams and yet you have VCU/Butler waiting for you in the Final game. It's probably harder to get motivated and on top of that, these teams are actually really fucking good

I think that it could be more pressure on the bigger named teams because, well, they're expected to get this far with their athletic budgets being > than the average mid major. Thus, I think it could be a bit trickier than playing another power conference team. On the other hand, the mid-major is playing with 'house money' and they can play loose and still come out a winner for making the final game. I want Butler or VCU to take the title just for that sole purpose.
The one thing I thought about was--could something like this happen if College Football went to a playoff? Well, you probably wouldn't get a mid-major other than say, the occasional Utah or Boise St. in say, a round of 16 and thus having a chance to upset the power teams...but it seems to be more organic when you talk about bball instead. Well, you have less players on a bball team than football, so the chances that your team can be another bball team is alot better than in football because of the talent levels.

I won't doubt Kentucky. They've beaten 3 pretty good teams in the tourney and Harrellson controlling the inside has turned them into a juggernaut. I'd be surprised if they didn't win the title.
I don't know if that's a faggy opinion or not, but I'm pretty certain about the above statement.

Personally, I'd like to see Butler get it done. They are so well coached, especially in regards to defense. Those guys seem to play harder than every team they face. They're also the most experienced, veteran team left, and I tend to like those teams in this situation
GO is right about Harrellson, that guy has made all the difference for UK. Not surprisingly, he's the only senior on the team and has provided that steady, consistent influence which the Cats seemed to lack earlier in the year when he didn't play as much. BTW, Harrellson barely played at all in Hawaii against UCONN in that first meeting. I just can't shake the feeling that UK is ready to lay an egg, but it could just be wishful thinking on my part, lol

SO what do you guys think about Brad Stevens? Will he leave for a better job? I know he recently signed an extension and has indicated that he wants to stick around.
IMO, he should stay. There's no reason he can't build them into a mid major, major program, a la Gonzaga. The Horizon league isn't the WCC, true, but when you're located in one of the most basketball crazy states there's no reason he can't recruit great players and turn them into a consistent dancer.
I really love seeing the parity in CBB. It makes for a much better tourny. Hopefully, we'll see Butler or VCU cutting down the nets

Who cares? It's going to be must see basketball for me. I'm way more interested in that game than the blue bloods game.
Actually, since March Madness has a much broader appeal to the casual fan than most other sports playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if the ratings are pretty good
