Haven't forgotten how good Green was in first two rounds, but this series is another level. And yes, you can see that Green gets down on himself when he misses open shots while Kawhi just gets on with business and often gets the ball back at the other end.
Hope Green finds his mental comfort zone in game 3.
I hope so, too. I still think he's got the character to step up, once he adjusts to the new scenery. But he better do it quickly.
It's kind of funny, when you look at Green's line for the night. He had 10 PTS, 5 RB, 2 AST, 1 STL, and 1 BLK. That's a pretty decent line for a rookie.
He was 4-10 from the floor, and 2-7 from the 3P line. One of those 3's doesn't rattle out, or gets a friendly bounce, and he's 50% from the floor, 43% from 3P, and has 13 points. Funny how one shot more or less can make that much difference.
Like I said, my biggest gripe was that he let missed shots affect his play on the other end. There was a sequence in the 1st quarter when he missed a 3, and then let his man get behind him for a long pass and a layup. I thought Pop was going to pull him right then.
