Time to get back on track. As long as the Spurs can keep it close I'll be happy. These are dark times right now but it just takes on solid game to right the ship.

Nah I think it'd take some somewhat major changes from Pop. We have been consistently playing bad on O, so I'd try to start De Colo at SG who has the creativity to change the offensive flow and to improve the ball movement but of course Pop won't do it.

Tp De Colo
Joseph Manu

Use Green to trade up in the draft if possible.

This is quite possibly the most important game of the season for the entire NBA. Either team who wins could essentially be causing their NBA Finals berth by winning. Definitely not going to miss a minute of this game tonight.

No to both of the bolded. Green is far better than De Colo, who needs less playing time, not more. Green won't allow us to move up very far in the draft, and who we'd pull back will likely be worse. Not even a lateral move, it'd be a negative.

I hope they pull a "McVeigh" on ya & blow your ass up.

As annoying as the hero ball talk can be, there's indeed to much iso/ball stopping going on right now. This spurs team doesn't have a shot playing that way, last year's run was all about passing porn sequences, focusing on D is good but if they forget our real strength then it won't matter.

That's why role players like De Colo and Diaw are imo more valuable than Green for this team in particular, not saying in general.

That's a myth, he's shooting pretty well since he adapted to the nba, he's shooting 41% from 3 overall and that takes into account his horrible start, how can you say that he can't shoot. What he can't/shouldn't do is guard PGs imo.

The only argument for Green is the irrational love he gets from Pop and his erratic defense that's mostly overrated. Besides playing De Colo SG would open up time for Cojo at PG, making the defense just as good imo overall.

Man I live here and go to a lot of games. Ive honestly never seen any opposing fans catching any hell. Like any other arena, I'm sure there's a bad apple or two, but we're pretty respectful fans to be honest. People can show up in their James or Bryant jerseys and enjoy the game in peace, from what I've seen anyways.

De Colo only ever shoots from long distance if he's wide open. He's not what you'd expect from the prototypical elite NBA shooting guards; someone who doesn't lack the confidence to hit big shots, who can shoot coming off screens and on the move, and can shoot even when given the smallest of space between himself and the defender. Both Green and Neal would better fit that role, imo.

De Colo shpuld be played in the position that he feels most comfortable with: pg. Setting plays for others is what he does best.

Actually the only issue that Ive personally seen did involve a Spurs fan, but really it was the Spurs fan causing the problem. It was actually a woman and she was drinking and standing up and cursing. This was year before last. Finally a guy had enough and asked the lady to sit down. She was throwing out the F bomb and just carrying on. So she turns around and cusses the guy, etc etc. Finally security came and told her to behave. 98% of people in that arena aren't going to think anything of someone with a Spurs jersey on cheering on the spurs. It's probable you'll sit by people who will chat it up with you, etc as long as you're not a douchebag fan like the lady mentioned above, which I'm sure you're not. There's actually a lot of very nice people here in OKC, despite the fact that everyone thinks the whole city smokes meth. Now that I say that you'll probably sit by the one asshole Thunder fan in the whole arena lol

This is 1/82, tbh. If HCA is THAT important, then the Spurs have no shot tonight anyway, right?

The most important game of the season was the one where Derrik Rose tore his ACL, IMO, or possibly when Parker turned his ankle; Spurs were clicking before that, haven't since (although I'm holding out hope that is somewhat by design).

Tonight I expect the Thunder to prevail. Rest, sitting, whatever, Spurs are on 4th in 5, Ginobilli is out, Parker is not back up to speed....still think Spurs have the edge in the playoffs.

Durant with 6 fouls in the last 2 minutes will carry the Thunder in this one. The guy gets bailed out by every single ref in the game and unless the spurs are up by at least 13 or 14 at the time of when this reffing comes into effect then it's all over.

as ignorant as OKC thinking Thunder receive more calls because they attack the rim more than any other team, or that Durant is a smarter player than Lebron, that's why he gets more calls?

i've actually been to OKC to see a game. It wasn't bad up there, but people in OKC have no right talking shit about SA. there's certain things I prefer about OKC, as in it's not as humid, but SA has more history and culture, better food as well.

Far better at what? Also we don't need to move up a lot to have a chance at a good international player.

Defense (by far), three point shooting, scoring in general, not throwing the ball away on routine plays, not fouling yet actually making a defensive impact, not being a liability on both ends of the floor at once most of the time. De Colo is easily in the bottom 5 worst players on the team category. Arguably bottom 3-4. Personally, there's no player I'd rather see on the floor less than De Colo.

You're really downplaying this game tremendously. HCA is important. Taking a single game on the road during the season is simpler and easier than digging out of a potential 0-2 hole in the WCF. At that point you have to win 4 of 5 to win the series, and that isn't happening for us.

Derrick Rose tore his ACL last season, not this season. I would agree that was the most impactful game of last season though.

The Thunder probably will win tonight due to fatigue and injury issues for the Spurs, but that doesn't make the game any less important for the Spurs and the league itself. It could determine who goes to the Finals to face the Heat who will default there due to lack of competition.

If they're serious about having a legit shot at winning tonight, we need to see this rotation . . .

PF - Splitter (24), Diaw (24)
SF - Leonard (44), Green (4)
C - Duncan (38), Splitter (10)
SG - Green (30), Neal (18)
PG - Parker (40), De Colo (8)

So long as he can stay out of foul trouble, Leonard needs to match minutes with Durant and if it's close throughout or at least relatively so, that probably means about 44, including the entire 2nd half. Leonard is well rested though and after the Hawks game, they get three days off. This game is too important to be fooling around, attempting to get away with either Green or Diaw guarding Durant.

Who prevails tonight notwithstanding, I agree. I think some of our recent slippage is "somewhat by design." Pop wants a healthy team for the playoffs, and is hoping our tough losses of late are going to be good lessons for the playoffs. Timing is a harsh mistress, maybe we can get back to pre- TP's and Manu's injuries. I want some Spurs basketball in June!!

Parker with Ibaka on him and it ends up with a contested Green 3. Glad it went in, but when they switch that isn't a good shot.

If Ibaka switches to Parker, we have to get it inside to Splitter or Duncan, whoever has Durant on him. They can both abuse Durant in the post.
