It obviously applies less to goal line backs. But every down backs still show good numbers in the long run. Lynch gets those tough third and one conversions and still had a strong ypc. LT had all those one yard td's and stills averaged somethin like five ypc those years

its not like ivory has substantially more short yardage situations this year compared to last :lol

what matters is how many players are stacked in the box and how much is the playcalling obvious.. i mean, there must be a reason why every single year rotoworlds guide is a laughing stock when it comes to rbs right? Why is it that Gore, Lynch, Charles and the likes deliver every single year (counting out injuries of course), yet you see at least half of those draft day first rounders going completely in flames.. Well reling on ypc instead of tape is the reason.

Trolls gonna troll.

They're just mad they had to swallow it last year, so to make themselves feel better they came back with the, "Well there's no way in HELL YOU'LL REPEAT!! :cry". Even though the schedule is juiced and nobody has repeated in forever, gee you all sure went out on a big limb there. And honestly, we just won a SB, and we're young. I'm thrilled. And we're not done yet, so possibly there's some premature ejaculation going around the NFL Forum.

tape, tape, tape. Just watch him tbh, he's a beast out there when the game allows that, and most of the time he runs behind that nig.. Pretty much what Lynch did on those though physical play calls.

When you're winning, none of the hearsay matters, but when you're losing, the voices get louder and louder. But to be strait forward, it really doesn't matter. What will be will be, and there's nothing complaining will do about. Obviously I'd like him to remain for another two years, but at the price he would like isn't going to happen. The future is more important, and that's how the front office has to plan. And everyone knows what happens more often with RBs at a certain age/usage rate. Not to say the same thing would happen with Lynch, but you can't ignore these things.

I don't think he deserves criticism, as in reports like the one that said he didn't go into the locker room last Sunday at half because he was disgruntled in some way. The bogus reports like those are ridiculous, but it's what you expect when the team is struggling. Similar to the B.S reports of Dez Bryant as of late just to stir things up about his contract. He is a little emotional, but most players with high end ability has some of that in them. You don't see the third string center making waves. Lynch is making business decisions, and I don't blame him. I would too. He has been a complete professional, and the media should respect that.

stupid jokes aren't changing the fact that the seahawks have had mediocre weapons in the passing game for years now..

:lol sidney fitzgerald

and what's so special about Ivory this year? he's a career 4.8 YPC guy averaging 4.5 YPC this year. he averaged 4.6 with the Jets last year

Didn't you get that memo? When it comes to Wilson, it doesn't matter if he doesn't have weapons. He should just put up 300 plus/3 TDs no matter what. I mean, it's not like having a number one option like Gronk makes any bit of a difference. It's not like Brady's efficiency and overall play have elevated significantly since the reemergence of Gronk. None of the pass happy offenses that have well regarded QBs have any major passing weapons whatsoever.

the raiders probably have the least talent in the NFL when it comes to offensive skill positions. we have a bunch of good WR3 caliber players, but none starting caliber. don't have a tight end worth mentioning, and currently average the least rushing yards per game the NFL has seen since the mid-40's. our longest rush of the year was a Derek Carr read-option :lmao

i hope they feature Latavius Murray at RB the rest of the year, I think he has potential to be the guy going forward.

Eh, I'm glad they didn't. It was better to wrap up the important defensive pieces for the future. Because I want a traditional X receiver. They may never get one (If that is the case that's one thing I will legit be mad about), but I want a larger WR/Or Beast TE with game breaking potential. No more of this undersized speed shit. I want a guy who can go up and get deep fades, corner balls, and tough contested slants. We've already been through this numerous times so you know my views on the subject :lol

And lets be honest, having Tate this year wouldn't have been a drastic game changer.

:lol so now those retarded takes become validated because they were too retarded? is this like a cyclic thing :lol? The reason for Pats resurgence after week 4 was in this order:
1 offensive line improvement with Stork at center
2 more two TE sets, leading to much better 3down and red zone success
3 Gronkowski's blocking

his efficiency has always been fine. career 98 QBR, high TD's low INT's. his volume is low, and that has to do with the pieces around him and the offense they run

they have a really good RB and pretty lousy receiving weapons, so naturally they run more. not a lot of room for the QB to pile on stats like Phyllis Rivers

if we take this, its the 2nd worst receiving core in the NFL, and their starting tight end is on IR. they also have a pro-bowl running back.

isn't this a scenario that would inherently limit your passing volume, regardless of the talent of the QB?

Gotta get healthy as possible and return the favor come week 16...

Defense looked good. Not sure I liked all the zone Arizona D was playing, but their defense wasn't the issue. Matter of fact, only reason this wasn't a trouncing was the defense. Was just weird. They never play zone.

Arizona wins next week at Falcons, and 49ers/Seahawks cannibalize each other...

Spur-Addict good win. The Cards D and shitty Bevell were the reasons we didn't win 30-3 to be honest. B-Wagz makes a hell of a difference in the middle. JMarkJohns, not having Larry definitely put a damper on things offensively for you guys. They just looked out of sorts without their only veteran leader (Weapon wise) with Carson being out. We didn't show Stanton much respect at all, and the drive that he really got movement, a WR dropped an uncontested TD. Uncharacteristic game for your offense, that will likely not happen again. But your defensive line is no joke. Best I've seen all year.

The Gemini Method, when we play those top end defenses, not having a legit WR/TE weapon really stands out. And despite Lynch being bottled up, fortunately Wilson could make enough plays to capitalize on what the defense and special teams gave us. Wilson couldn't have picked a better time to put together one of his better games, hopefully that carries over into this S.F game. Norwood looked solid out there when Kearse went out for a few snaps. I wouldn't mind seeing him get a few more snaps. Tony Mo seems to becoming a staple of sorts. Despite not having a standout TE available, the TE rotation seems to better than the WRs :lol. Whatever works man. Honestly, I don't give a shit as long as we win. Haters can chime in with their irrelevant comments all they'd like. Just win.

Huge road win The Gemini Method, in a place we haven't got a win in so long, so many years. Having Kam and Wagner back, along with Maxwell has done wonders. Sherm being consistent as he has all year. Made the most of his opportunities today. We'll need Lane for Philly, with that open offense they run. Granted we've faced some teams with offensive deficiencies, but we've had two decisive wins against quality teams nonetheless. Can't say enough about the defense, only surrendering 6 points in the last two games total. Tough test against Philly next week, who are on a roll themselves, two in a row, and 4 of their last 5.

We're in a good position as far as the division is concerned, with a 2-1 record. Every game left is necessary to win, especially the last three. Tony Mo has been a massive pickup with all the TE injuries we've had. The TE's as a group continue to stand out, making big plays at key moments. Marshawn was instrumental in putting the game away in the second half, brought us home. Total team win, another good game from Russ outside of two almost turnover moments.

Very big win, Spur-Addict. Not necessarily a place we have struggled in per se. It is a new stadium and it seems to be super cavernous and the crowd isn't the salty types you would find at the Stick. It seemed like a tennis match for the most part. I mean, it is hard to get up when you're being stymied but this is the Seahawks that just came in and took it to you. I know we don't have a fancy offense and the defense has awaken (Although, it has been legitimately solid the whole year...I think people just want to see the team that took it to Denver in the SB...). They have rightfully laid claim to the no.1 defense and this week coming up will be a serious challenge for the D. However, I don't know if the Sanchize has ever faced a defense like this. I notice that Dallas had some success running the ball at the beginning of the game vs. the Eagles. However, we saw what Rodgers did vs. them. I don't expect Russell to double check the hell out of the secondary, but he's due for a big game. I say if we win 2 of the next 3 we'll be in a great position going in against the Rams. A team we know we can't take lightly either. They can't afford to take any of these games lightly. I don't think they will.

The Sanchize has looked very good though. But what I do like is the extra break to rest up for this high octane, fast paced offense. Their defense is no slouch either. Outside of the Packer blowout, they've played very good football, and they have some solid wins as well. Must contain Shady.

Unlike many other teams in contention, literally every game on our schedule is ultra competitive, and vital for us to win. Fortunately we're on the mend at the right time, although Unger will likely not be ready until the following week.

Good win.

I just read Tyrann Mathieu is out for a couple weeks with a fractured finger. Surgery

Attrition. Ellington likely missing time after Fitz misses time...

No excuses. Next Man Up ran out of men, it would seem.

I get this backloaded schedule, but heads up mid season, right after a Bye, with better health is a matchup I'd love. Oh well.

Gotta suck it up. Win both home games, and they'll likely get to the playoffs with home field until NFC Title game.

Stanton is 3-3 with a save this year. No excuses, make the right read, the right throw at the right time and execute.

Last week sucked and really hurts overall, but shake it off, play who ya got and beat who ya play. Schedule only gets more difficult, but win your two home games and you may earn a Bye for Wild Card round thanks to tie-breakers.

At least Fitz is back and vs. A good team Stanton looked solid again. Tough game on a quick turnaround. Very likely a loss, couple with Seahawks win will set up a game twixt 10-4 teams in week 16 for the Division.

Hell of a comeback victory against a very good team in K.C though. STL is just playing free right now, and for a team that talented, it's trouble. But you guys are right there, anything can happen as this is a winnable game due to the anemic offense of STL. Losing Ellington for the year is a blow for sure, but whoever Kerwynn Williams is, showed up to the tune of 100 yards on 19 carries. Not bad against a stout K.C defense for a rookie. You guys are just finding a way and it's impressive.

As for us, S.F is no gimme despite their recent struggles. We haven't exactly been a juggernaut at home dropping a game to ARI at the end of last year, and losing to Dallas earlier this year. And although S.F just dropped a game to OAK, they may come out with the same care free approach STL has had if they perceive their year to be over. Stranger things have happened so we have to play a sound game.

My only hope in this game is last year Palmer threw 4 interceptions in Seattle and Arizona still won. Defense needs to play the game of their life and offense can't get sloppy with the ball.

I definitely think it'll be another defensive battle, and a lot of pressure will be on Special Teams on both sides to not commit turnovers. Turnovers will likely tell the tale. We haven't shown the ability to get any push on Arizona's defensive line, so hopefully Russell can pull some plays out of his ass. But even if the run isn't producing anything we still have to commit to it. Penalties will likely also play a major role, and if we continue on at our current clip for next week, we could find ourselves in a world of trouble.

Sometimes having an unknown in can be a good thing. Not much tape to review so who knows what's possible. And the less finesse approach of Kerwynn Williams (When compared to Ellington) may be better suited for this division. Long story short, anything is possible with the Cardinals, and we have to be on our "A" game to come out of Arizona with a win.

JMarkJohns
12-15-2014, 11:24 AM
The run game is huge for Arizona. A healthy Taylor and Williams plus Cooper up front and maybe, just maybe, with an amped up defense and home field, Arizona has a chance.

Worst case, they made the playoffs in a season when nobody would have predicted it.

But this team deserves more, so they better rise up and take it.

It'd be nice to get some lucky bounces to offset the bad breaks.

Spur-Addict
12-15-2014, 11:30 AM
We didn't cause the bad breaks so we don't deserve any unlucky bounces :lol. If it's anybody that deserves unlucky bounces as it pertains to the Cardinals it's the Rams.

If we play a clean game and take care of the ball, we should be in a good position late in the game. I could see us throwing all kinds of junk at Lindley, but I'd rather us not do too much and stick to who we are. Last thing we need are surprise plays for big chunks. And with the way Arians likes to open it up no matter who's at QB, we have to be prepared for that. Basically, don't get cute on either side of the ball.

Cards first lied about Stanton saying it was a sprained knee and would miss no time. Any fool knew it was lie, but, it didn't stop Bruce from stating it. Now we find out the truth, it's torn. They still insist on calling it a "sprained knee, which is the same as a tear." Until Stanton went down they also insisted on calling Logan Thomas their backup instead of Lindley. Now, they've promoted Lindley.

I know. I think we're up to a 98% of making it in...but it would be nice to have a 1st round bye again. Give us a chance to rest since we've been at it since Week 4. So we have a lot to play for in the last two games. I don't think we'll lay an egg with how motivated the team looks and I think they'll come out ready to compete the Seahawk way. That defense has played better in the last 4 games than at any point of last year's regular season campaign. I hope they keep the focus and protect RW a little bit better. Either way, it feels semi-good to eliminate the 49ers because now I don't have to hear about it all day from the 49er fans I encounter at work and on Facebook. We got the last laugh!

Either way, it feels semi-good to eliminate the 49ers because now I don't have to hear about it all day from the 49er fans I encounter at work and on Facebook. We got the last laugh!

Okung once again will be out for some time. Only two weeks left, each game is pivotal. Unger still out, allegedly he'll be back next game, we'll see. But we definitively will need to bolster this line come draft/offseason as the key components cannot stay healthy. So with that in mind, Russell's ability to allude will once again be at high demand, especially against these monster defenses. Quite frankly, I am a bit concerned with two of the best defensive lines in football upcoming.

But you're right, we have A LOT to play for in these last weeks, hopefully we can make the most of it. And at least a first round bye would be nice with what we've had to go through this season schedule wise. Although they are on a roll, and sometimes you want to let-it-ride as they say.

Yeah man, that week off could be a momentum killer. These next two weeks are not gimmes in the sense of the word. Arizona will be a tough out even if Neil Lomax was quarterbacking. That D is tough. The Rams always seem to play us tough but we will be in the friendly confines of Clink with so much to play for. Having the NFC come to us was probably the most important factor in last year's championship run. Can't wait til Sunday though...that's going to be a fisticuff.

Seeing as how we hadn't done it before, it was absolutely pivotal. But the way they look right now, the unity and certainty they have as a unit, I think they could go anywhere and win. Naturally you'd want to be in the confines of the best home field advantage in the league, but if we have to go out on the road, I think we could nab a win or two.

Wonder what's going through Lindley's mind this week...

Well, he has Arians in his ear selling him on how great he's going to be, and to not worry about taking your shots downfield etc. Then, he's watching tape and seeing the speed of the defense he's going to face. He's a little scared, so it'll likely be vital for him and the Cardinals as a whole to get out in front early so the pressure valve comes down a notch or two. Sunday night game, everyone will be watching, it'll be imperative to get going at least in a non turnover capacity. He's likely tentatively optimistic, but not confused as to what he's heading into. He's taking that offensive line out to dinner numerous this week though that's for sure :lol

If we don't turn the ball over we have a real shot. Their defense/special teams is dangerous. At any given moment, at any given time they could drastically change to complexion of the game. We have to convert in the redzone this game. While FGs are great, and obviously their defense is a monster, we'll need to punch at least one in this Sunday. We likely won't get many opportunities, especially with how our O-Line matches up against their D-Line.

You're an idiot. They may get killed, but it has nothing to do with fluke. They have won 21 games the last two years despite no running game, despite playing in the toughest division in the League, and amidst almost a dozen season-ending injuries amongst their 22 starters. They have beat upwards of 10 playoff teams in that time including Seattle in Seattle.

No excuses, they need to rally and win next week.

The O-Line played a hell of a game, maybe the best of the season for them. We finally got to see Luke's speed out there today, Helfet took a shot to the ribs. Hopefully Tony Mo will be back next week. Just an all around solid win where everyone had a hand in it. Those are the best kinds of wins. But, hopefully Simon doesn't have to miss significant time. Really? WOW. Fractured foot? That's terrible, and very unfortunate. Hope he recovers well. We've lost Mebane and now Jordan Hill so the Hawks definitely understand huge losses in the middle of a D-line. I guess we'll find out if they can maintain the integrity of their D-Line. They're a top end defense so I'm sure they'll shuffle some things around and still be stout against the run. But he's for sure a big loss.

Willson's speed really on display over the past several weeks. I'd like Tony Mo to get healthy, they're a nice tandem. Coop just didn't seem ready for the show yet. Unger seems OK, more concerned about Maxwell as it seems like it may be some sort of respiratory issue, which is concerning. Simon in what is basically his first season because of injuries still isn't ready for that #2 spot. Although he has come a long way since the first St. Louis game this year. A bunch of concerning penalties today, would like to get that cleaned up going into next week. But Russell played a hell of a game today.

More concerned through the air if it's G.B because we would really need to have Lane in the slot. While I wouldn't want Lane out of the slot, I'd rather have him out of the slot VS Dallas. Simon really isn't as bad as he was today, which was shocking to be honest. It seemed more mental than anything else. I saw him down on himself, you could see it. While he certainly isn't on the level of Sherman or Maxwell, he isn't a slouch by any means. He has cleaned up his tendency for penalties earlier this season, and is strong at pressing at the line. Plus he has tons of upside (Which doesn't help for the here and now but still).

Seattle's conservative game calling held them back earlier... but if you want to talk about easy missed throws, well that comes with the territory of having Cam Newton at QB. and if you're going to throw in that qualifier, you also have to consider he probably should have had 3 more picks. Seattle does everything that Carolina does, except better. coming in, i didn't really see too much Carolina could exploit. they can run up the gut against Seattle a bit, but once the hawks got a lead, they had to start throwing the ball as a primary, and that's how seattle wins games
