Lebron was making Gilbert a ton of money and he was carrying his shitty team to yearly deep playoff runs..

Lebron was a slave to Gilbert..a dog, a servant, a toy..he treated him well because Lebron generated a ton of profits and success for him..

Once Lebron expressed himself and exercised his rights, the slave owner's mentality was exposed, as many Black media members and Black activists pointed out..it was disgraceful..

I would have been upset if Timmy left, but I wouldn't have used racist slurs towards him and turned on him after years of carrying my team..

How could Lebron go back to such a situation? Mind boggling.

He went from a hack to a legend in one off season. Expect ESPN to re-hire his ass.

Just because Sheridan guessed the outcome early, doesn't mean he did a good job. He reported plenty of wrong things (where the announcement would come from, ect..). He just looked at the situation, guessed what would happen and "reported" it as actual facts.

But, even if that {guess} is true that is all he had to do. He said it, he stood by it and he came out the other side, whole.

That's the American way. Right or wrong.

Sheridan gloating

We told you on (https://twitter.com/sheridanhoops/status/487014354756599809)Wednesday (https://twitter.com/sheridanhoops/status/487014354756599809) that LeBron James had made his decision to go back to Cleveland.

A league source steadfastly maintained to SheridanHoops.com that James was returning to the Cavaliers, where he spent his first seven seasons before leaving in 2010. We steadfastly stood by that source, even as the decision was delayed and doubts arose.

On Friday, James ended the drama – and confirmed our report – by announcing his intention to return to the Cavaliers in an essay for Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated (http://www.si.com/nba/2014/07/11/lebron-james-cleveland-cavaliers).

So we can all exhale now, right?

Hah!

That's it. He made the call, defended it, everybody threw rocks nonetheless, he stood the gaffe and was right all along.

He gets the rewards.

Russell and Pettit belong on that list before hakeem and Kobe.

Russell doesn't belong anywhere near that list. His team accolades belie his individual greatness.

Would you say 5 time MVP is a team or individual accolade?

A little bit of both. MVP is a strange award where only the best teams usually get considered, and he was the most valuable player on the best team for a long time.

But really his entire era is a problem. It's questionable whether or not Bill Russell would be effective in today's league. That's not a question for most other all time greats. No one would ever question Kareem's ability to dominate in today's NBA, or Jordan's ability to dominate.

You can only judge a player against the competition of their era and with the rules of their era. Doing anything else is simply retarded conjecture.

'm going into a situation with a young team and a new coach. I will be the old head. But I get a thrill out of bringing a group together and helping them reach a place they didn't know they could go. I see myself as a mentor now and I'm excited to lead some of these talented young guys. I think I can help Kyrie Irving become one of the best point guards in our league. I think I can help elevate Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters. And I can't wait to reunite with Anderson Varejao, one of my favorite teammates.

elevate them right out the door apparently

:lol The Cavs don't have much to offer. Their young "talent" is nothing special. They have an inept front office. Kevin Love has been one of the most overrated players as well. His defense sucks, he is a honky, and he stat pads on a shitty team. He has rang twice already in Miami. His supporting cast in Cleveland would be nothing special. He will just care about having fun and dancing instead of winning rings. Luckily, Lebron isn't going to fuck up and give that inept Cavs front office and their fans a 2nd chance. They had 7 years to make things right. All of these lottery picks they had over the years don't scream "scary" at all, tbh. I have never once bought into the Cavs have any realistic shot at getting Lebron back. They fucked up in 2010, and they won't be getting another chance to make things right.

:lol
