A couple weeks ago, I'd be surprised if LeDelonte returned to Clevelol. Now I'd be surprised if he didn't. Although the pieces on the Cavs aren't really guaranteed to contribute cuz they're so young, at least they're pieces. Mami has jackshit.

He's gone. If he didn't commit now (there's no other moves Miami can make to improve the roster without Wade/Bosh playing for peanuts and keep the big 3 together), he ain't going to commit tomorrow, next week, next month. I don't know what the Heat can do to convince him to stay, especially now with Cleveland threatening to get Kevin Love.

If the Cavs have a deal in place to bring in Kevin Love and keep at least Kyrie Irving, I don't see how Lebron can refuse that offer. Throw in Ray Allen and Mike Miller and that's a better version of last year's Heat plus a better future with Irving and Love.

Lebron fans should be in favor of a return to Cleveland. Who gives a shit about Dan Gilbert? Part of life is working for/with people who are shitbags and who you might despise, but if Lebron's main interest is winning titles, Cleveland offers a better chance at that than Miami.
With Wade essentially done and having no young assets, Miami's title window is pretty much shut, barring a miracle trade. In Cleveland, James will likely have a core of Irving/Love or Irving/Wiggins, along with youth like Waiters (if he's not dumped to make cap room) and Tristan Thompson. If Wiggins turns out to be the truth, that championship window could last 5-8 years for Lebron.

I respectfully disagree, I think alot of people are living in the moment and not realizing that Pat Riley is capable of making power moves if Lebron stays. Not this season, but after wade is gone he can form another super duo to help LeBronze. Pat Riley is the key here, the heat team has a much better FO than that shit bag of a FO in Cleveland. I wouldnt trade all that in for 1 season with a 20% better chance of winning now.
The problem with Lebronze is he always has to win this year at any cost with a super team. He never wants to go through a few years of hardship like Kobe after Shaq left. I would like to see him return to Cleveland and right his wrong, but I think he is toying with the idea at best.

Meh, I'm not convinced Cleveland gives him a particularly better championship window than Miami does, tbh.... rookie head coach, terrible front office, Kyrie is an overrated wannabe Marbury, Waiters is a scrub, Thompson is hardly anything to write home about, Wiggins is a huge question mark, Love is an overrated stat-padder, and Bennett is a historic draft bust.... plus it'd kind of suck to see that hypocritical faggot fanbase and owner be rewarded....

Riley wouldn't be able to maneuver much with Wade and Bosh locked up at 15-20 million a piece for the next 2 years. Beyond them, the Heat have no assets with which to make a power move. Wade will be done in 2 years, pretty much untradeable. Bosh would be an okay asset, but if Riley were to use him as a trade chip down the line, I'm not sure he gets much for him. No one like Kevin Love, that's for sure. Also, the Heat have no youth movement. The Heat's future is very uncertain. It's a possibility Riley hits a homerun, but it's just that, a possibility.
On the other hand, I see James being intrigued by the youth and potential of the Cavs roster.

Cleveland and Miami were the only two realistic choices. Between them, I see Cleveland having more potential. You think James really wants to drag Wade along for another two years and play alongside one of the oldest rosters in the league again?
Also, Blatt, I think, will make a good coach, since he was successful in FIBA, which seems to be the brand of basketball the NBA is heading toward.

I agree that Blatt will probably do well, but he still has to prove it at the NBA level.... other than that, they have a front office that is still clueless, the same owner who threw LeBron under the bus when he left, and a roster of overrated young "talent" that hasn't even made the playoffs.... I'm just not seeing how that's any better than Miami on paper at least....
I disagree that Cleveland and Miami were his only realistic choices - after all, going into this offseason, it was often said that he could go to literally any team in the league if he wanted to.... he's let the residual backlash of 2010 influence him too much this time around instead of making the best basketball choice, tbh.....

If true all we have to do is get back to the finals and 6 is ours.
The problem with Lebronze is he always has to win this year at any cost with a super team. He never wants to go through a few years of hardship like Kobe after Shaq left.
Fuck outta here with that, bro.
He stayed in Cleveland for 7 years before he left. Kobe went through what 2 years before he cried, threatened to ask for a trade and eventually got Gasol gifted to him.

Call me crazy but I don't think LeBron really cares about ringing anymore. I just think he's satisfied with 2. Sure, he wants to win but I don't think its a major factor in his decision. If he returns to Cleveland I wouldn't be surprised to hear him say that he regretted leaving in the first place.
Lebron is the best player in the game and just got blown out in the playoffs while still playing at an outrageous level because his team utterly imploded.
I'm pretty sure he is concerned about winning right now.

Meh, I'm not convinced Cleveland gives him a particularly better championship window than Miami does, tbh.... rookie head coach, terrible front office, Kyrie is an overrated wannabe Marbury, Waiters is a scrub, Thompson is hardly anything to write home about, Wiggins is a huge question mark, Love is an overrated stat-padder, and Bennett is a historic draft bust.....
You can say the same for every Heat players during their title runs. Lebron made them winners.

I seriously think this is James giving the finger to Arison after he took a $12.4 million paycut to bring in Mike Miller only to see him get amnestied. If Miller was still on the team James would be too after tomorrow.

We all know James makes players better. If he goes to Cleveland, expect Kyrie to have an efficient, "breakout" year.
Clippers or Suns would've been his best basketball choices, but in his mind, for the reasons you mentioned, Cleveland or Miami were the only real choices.

LeBron makes his teammates better, but he's not a miracle worker.... he can't magically give the young kids on the team a ton of playoff experience to help him win rings immediately, and with hardly any defenders and so many chuckers, it's tough to envision the Cavs not getting obliterated by whoever comes out of the West just like the Heat were this year....
No matter what, even if they were to make the Finals, the Cavs would also have the same problem as the Heat of not being sufficiently tested enough in the earlier rounds.... that's why I never bought the idea that LeBron shouldn't go to the West because of the tougher path he'd have in the playoffs, as that tougher path can be just as much of an advantage as a disadvantage....

I get all the Lebron obsession now, you're a Kobe fanboy. Lebron is getting a feel of the situation. The fact he didn't commit to Miami after the meeting is probably a strong indication he's really leaning towards Cleveland.
Lebron gave Riley his due respect and attended the meeting as a courtesy even though he pretty much knows the pitch.Next move would be his agent notifying Miami brass about Lebron's intention to leave, followed by advising Gilbert that Lebron is coming back to Cleveland.
You don't need insiders and sources to read between the lines.

I get all the Cleveland scenario but one factor that hasn't been addressed much is how will Lebron and Gilbert mend their broken relationship? Also, after seeing how Cavaliers fans treated James in 2010, I imagine this being one ofe the biggest reasons why Lebron is having second thoughts leaving Miami.
I feel like James just wants Gilbert to beg.

My guess is if he is going to Cleveland then we will know soon, but if he is returning to Miami then he will wait for Bosh to commit to Houston so he can bring in Melo.

To be fair to Cleveland, LeBron was being a douche by announcing he was leaving the way he did. Also, the Heat fans did boo the team in Game 4 of the Finals. And I'm not sure LeBron is happy with Arison too.
I can see how LeBron would be torn. Lots of things to take into account.

Filling out the roster isn't a choice, teams are require to have minimum number players, and it the Heat's case it will be on minimum salaries.

Lebron going back to Cleveland would be great for his legacy tbh. It'd be his "I'm back" moment. Already got his rings and winning one w the Cavs would be like winning 3 staying in Miami...
The only drawback is that he'd have to live in a shithole like cleveland. But even that would make him more endearing to your average sports fan tbh....

Heat won't have any games on ESPN, ABC, or TNT if Lebron leaves. Cavs will have a ton of nationally televized games. The Heat's only nationally televized game will probably Lebron's return to Miami.

Probably need to trade Waiters for a C capable of starting when Varejao inevitably goes down for the year. But if you trade Waiters what have you got? James, Kyrie Irving, a rookie, and... Anderson Varejao?
I really don't think going to the Cavs improves Lebron's chances of ringing next year at all, unless Wiggins comes into the league extremely polished.

If he goes back to Cleveland, he'll never be able to leave again. He's basically committing to them for the rest of his life, right?
He's 29, turning 30 in December. Lock him up on a 5-year deal and he'll be 34-35 by that time. So basically yeah if Cleveland is wise about this they'll lock him up to a max deal until he's past his prime.

He stays with Miami - They have a chance but odds are the Spurs are gonna repeat. Keeping Wade, Bron and Bosh is gonna be costly for Miami even if the three of them take a pay cut.
He bolts to Cleveland - They won't win a title but his relationship with his hometown will be repaired. Plus who knows Gilbert might add pieces that will make them a contender...
Bottom line, LeBron already has the rings he wanted. He just has to be mature about this. This free-agency is a chance to repair the mistakes he did in 2010.

Miami. OKC or LA will have great shots to come out of the West, and I think either gets stomped by a hypothetical returning Heat team. He's leaving because he's pissed at Arison. I can't blame him. If I took a $12 million paycut so my team could sign Mike Miller and then they went and cut him, effectively telling me I took the paycut for billionaire Jew Arizon and not Miller, I'd be pretty pissed and walk too.
