5 or 6 strong innings and then a meltdown. Or he pitches well, gives up 2 runs in 7, but the shitty Dodger offense gives him no run support.

Either, or. One thing I know is those assholes ain't coming out with a win. They're basically game 6 Spurs everytime out in the post-season.

This is the first time I remember the Cubs having arguably the best team out of the final four even in the years they got to the NLCS (1984 the Tigers were better, 1989 the A's, 2003 the Yankees and Red Sox.)

Actually, this is also the first time I remember the Cubs winning with a young, mainly homegrown team. In the past their good teams have been veteran teams with a lot of free agents and trade acquisitions and a small handful of homegrown guys mixed in (Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace.)

I'm sure the Cubs were favored because it considered the Jays still in the ALDS (game 5). Not they're on equal footing, they probably swung to the Jays.

Poor Cubbies. I honestly thought they had a chance to at least make it competitive. I hope they win at least a game at Wrigley for the fans. I don't think I will ever see a team that I like win a World Series in my lifetime. Even if the Mets finish off the Cubs, the Royals will probably destroy them. I don't see the Royals pulling a Jazz or Rangers. I think if the Royals win the pennant again, they will get it done this year.

Moron coaching move.
Price giving 6 innings of shutout ball is fantastic.

Given Prices history, manager should have had relievers ready to go the 1st sign of trouble in the 7th.
The botched flyball is not on Price.

This is a game the Blue Jays should win 3-0 3-1 3-2. If the Royals blast the relievers, so be it.
To lose it the way they did is on manager.

Be awesome, but that Mets staff is too good. Yanks had a lot of past their prime aces, like Mussina, Kevin Brown, Loaiza, etc. Looking at BBref, that staff averaged over 4.00ERA. Bullpen was even worse aside from Rivera.

Mets staff vs. the Royals Machine will be interesting.

That said, the Royals aren't out of the woods yet. A loss today and they have to face Price and Stroman in Games 6 & 7. That's why they need to score runs against Estrada. Not sure if Volquez will have the same success he had in Game 1.

Far from over. Great thing about baseball is that playing on the road means nothing if your aces can show up (as we saw with MadBum last year). If this was like Houston vs. GS in the NBA playoffs, we'd all pencil in GS for a sure thing game 6 win heading home. If Price can find his clutch, I like him over Ventura (Price needs to go 7 strong innings, though). And then Stroman vs. Cueto in a possible game 7 is a toss up. Cueto is like the Manu Ginobili of pitchers. Never know what you're gonna get.
