This is always why an elite offensive player > elite defensive player. Kawhi will learn from this, but he's not more valuable than a Durant or LeBoron.

I have criticized Kawhi the last few years for not being consistent on the offensive end and said that he was not a natural offensive scorer which this series proves. Like you said an elite offensive player will always be greater than elite defensive player. That's how this league work. Duncan was special because he was elite on both ends of the floor. I don't think Kawhi has the ability to be an elite offensive player simply due to having average ball handling skills at best.

Manu and Tim need to retire and opt out. That's all there is to it. The team simply needs their cap space. This could easily mean that Diaw is done as a Spur too. Hell, and Mills. I think some players are going to be auditioning for their jobs in the second half.

What makes me the most sad about all this is exactly what we just saw with that Russell pose. Spurs were the last team to not be doing that shit, but I guess that is what the game is now. Going to be a dark time for the NBA. GSW is going to ruin a muck, and there will be some big stars leaving this year and next. Dirk, TD, Manu, Kobe, KG and who is the next big stars? Curry, Durant, LBJ (who everyone hates). Who else?

That gutless worms thread is finally justified. Even the 2015 squad didn't give up. I've been heartbroken by Spurs losses before, but I've never been truly embarrassed. Infuriatingly embarrassed. I can't believe this is how Duncan's legendary career ends. I could fucking cry, because I never thought his tenure in that uniform would get so wholly torpedoed in a shitty, poorly coached, ISO ball give-up pussyfest at the hands of the Ultimate Worst Franchise in The NBA. Mad props to OKC and to some extent their good friends in Commissioner Silver's office. Those boneheaded chest thumpers wanted it more. Unbelievable.

Manu was awful for sure. Fouled a ton, missed shots and really did nothing positive. Provided no spark when the team needed him and maybe that is the sign you know he's truly done. Tim showed some fight, then body betrayed him again. Pop looked absolutely befuddled & had a poor series where instead of helping, he hurt.

I'm watching till the end for Tim and Manu.

When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Pop murdered our chances with the David West Kyle Andersen lineup ONCE AGAIN UP AGAINST KD

There is nothing whatsoever Manu can do with this lineup. He handed a wide open basket to West and the perennial playoff loser FREEZED.

I just want to say that we were lucky to enjoy such a long success thanks to The admiral, Timmy, Manu and Tony, it seems that of those players none is able to contribute as before and their replacements are not near what this players were until last the last few years.

Here is hoping we can turn this game around, but if we donīt i feel that is farewell to the most successful player in the history of San Antonio and one of his peers in Tim and Manu.

They will always get the pass for me nearing the 40 years of age, and i hope we can find a way to be succeed without them.

All hail the Big 3, letīs their souls be with us.

Danny/LMA/Kawhi is a nice little nucleus to build around....

Trade away Porky and try to get Mike Conley and the team should be fine heading into next year's postseason....

They've got the stars. That's the hard part in building a contender. I trust RC to right the ship sooner rather than later tbh.

I put more on the team for missing an insane amount of good looks, but Pop didn't do anything to help that.

One more half. Just fight.
I have shut my mouth about Manu out of sheer respect but he's been missing. Age man catches us all eventually.
