The thing about Murray that is very encouraging is that he barley played this regular season. He's not playing great tonight or anything but Pop barley played him this season and then he got hurt. He needs to start every game next season.
I don't get why Pop went away from the line-ups he used in Game 3. Much better than this weak shit.

It is clear that the game has passed Pau and LMA. Unless the Spurs get a athletic young big to help LMA he honestly should be traded or retire. No way he is a number 2 option. Spurs have a lot of young raw players.

Ugh,Murray is trash right now. Lots of love going on but its because he's showing flashes. Gets his shit blocked all the time, can't shoot jumpers, gets punked regularly on defense. The only thing he has going for him is his athleticism and ability to dribble. Kid has a long way to go. Spurs will need to pick up another PG until he's ready. It sure as hell isn't TP.

Well I keep telling you guys about not re-signing Mills for any price. His defense sucks, which won't change due to his lack of size, and he's an undersized shooting guard that has a playoff average of about 4 ppg. I don't want him back at any price.
Patty said he was upset with his performance last season in the playoffs against OKC, well guess what Patty, you've shit the bed yet again.
He's not a playoff player. You don't pay anything other than the bare minimum for those type of players. Gary Neal who I was a huge fan of until his putrid defense in game 6 and 7 of the finals was a superior playoff player to Mills. You DO NOT pay players like Mills anymore than the minimum if you're a team looking to compete for Championships. You let him move on to a scrub team that will pay him. I hope someone is willing to pay him, cause I don't want him back, maybe not even for his current contract. A fat lazy Diaw would have been better at PG than this. I would have rather have run Diaw at point forward over Mills at PG if Diaw was still on the team.

Mills what a piece of shit
Cojo man, SUPERIOR PLAYER. SUPERIOR PLAYER. Why couldn't the Spurs find a way to keep him. He's a steal at his current salary, and people wanted to pay Mills 9 million more per year than what Cojo is currently getting. I don't give a fuck about what the market it and what other teams are doing wasting money. The Spurs can't be retarded any pay players like Mills and Gasol $15 million per year when you can get guys from the d-league for the minimum to provide as much as they do. Let other teams throw away that money.
Even Simmons, can't be silly and pay him big money. Sure he competed, but he's not worth breaking the bank over. He's still got limitations.

I agree it was a dirty move but how can the Spurs injure Curry,Kevin,Klay without getting a major Artest like suspension. How do you suggest they do it? Should they punch Curry in the face when he's in mid air or body slam him? Even though Zaza succeeded in injuring Kawhi it's still not easy to injure guys. Like I said before I'm old school I miss the '90's NBA where a guy like Durant would have been punched out by now but you have to remember back then the suspension weren't harsh where as today they are super harsh. Very few guys are going to be willing to risk being out half of the year for hurting someone.
If you want to talk about soft I would say LMA is soft for not shoving Durant back after Durant shoved him.

No. Been saying this since blair. You have to have a physical, mean big man. Someone has to be an intimidator. Spurs dont have that.
Are they tight? I think Dejounte has signed with Lebron's agency. Has Lebron said anything about Dejounte's game?
I really like Dejounte so I follow him on various social media outlets, Lebron and him straight up party together in the off season. Dejounte went with the Cavs team this past summer to celebrate their ship. As far as him commenting on his game haven't heard him anything.

Even with Kawhi, I didn't think we had enough, tbh... Kawhi is really good, probably the best player this series, but we have a lot of holes against this team, starting with the supposed 'big' superiority that doesn't exist...

Not sure I'll pay Mills 8 millions at this point..When you're getting outplayed by your 20yo rookie backup for an entire Conference Finals series, it is over..
lol, I wouldn't even want him back for his current salary. How many times do I have to tell you guys - He averages about 6ppg in the playoffs and is an undersized SG that is a traffic cone on defense. His current salary is about all that he's worth to the Spurs or any team with title aspirations. You can get what Mills provides in the playoffs from one of the top d-league players - if you give a d-league player the same minutes as Mills, he could probably score 6 ppg. Gary Neal is a better version of Mills.
There's only a couple of shooters on the Spurs that are pure shooters - Bertans and Forbes. Most of the players on the team are mechanical shooters than have learned to shoot. Mills was a putrid shooter when he was younger, he's learned to shoot, but he's not a pure shooter. Another mechanical shooter that doesn't have a feel for shooting.

I definitely agree with you on that. Warriors and Cavs are allowed to play dirty due to being favored by the media and the league. Teams do have to stand up to them when they do dirty fouls. I'm not saying just sit there and take it when someone throws a shove, cheapshot, etc. I firmly believe in standing up for yourself immediately at the time that happens or having your teammates back when it happens but you can't just do pre-mediated attacks on the opponents. All attacks need to be done in the act of self defense that way you limit getting severely punished.

I don't want to get swept, but that is the lesser of evils to me. As a fan (not speaking for the players), it would be absolutely crushing to see the Spurs get mauled in the zoo that is Oakland and watch our guys (especially Manu) walk off the court amid the tumultuous celebration of the Dubs' band-wagon fans. Young kids are playing hard. Just don't have the talent compared to the likes of Durant, Curry I don't want to see Mills for the rest of the night.

Forbes struggled a lot this year, but started showing some real glimpses. More varied scorer than Mills too. Exciting to see and would be a nice development.
Baby Groot (saw that nickname on Twitter for Murray) playing hard.
But can he run an offense and handle the pressure, tbh?

which one? The last one I saw was a week ago and said his MRI showed no structural damage. Do you have anything newer?
The report said there was no structural damage but that playing on it could lead to damage that has long term ramifications.
This was not some Pop mind game.

We were on a run till Durant scored way too easily.

They have nothing to lose in this.
Some of them get in Pop's doghouse and don't even play in RS meaningless games so they have to use this opportunity even for FA or future FA.

Yes. That is why he was held out. The ankle has no long-term damage now, but that is why he can't play. The risk of damage is too great.
