Both 23 years old :wow
And he'll be gone next year, Fernandez. To a team with a bright future, like the Cavs, Hornets, Kings, Wizards, Jazz, Magic , Wolves, Raptors and any of the other 29 NBA teams who literally have a brighter future than the Lakers. The future is darker than when Kobe fucked the franchise retarded for an entire decade.
The Ghost of Kobe and the shame of a Sham Title. 2011-2031 will be two decades of shameful losing and 1 forgotten LOLtitle. The Lakers have become a perfect representation of their city: a formerly great place where minority celebrities, wash ups and D-grade rich people who can't afford, or aren't important enough for the exclusive, upper-scale, real-money, East-coast cemeteries.
A Spurs reject is the highlight of your expensive lost season. If the Lakers were a chick, Fabbs would be repulsed. It's gonna be a miserable next 8 years for your franchise. Seek shelter with Kool and Luva. Mexicans are the house cats of races. Laker fans are the cockroaches of sport fans. Pretty sure you guys would thrive living off the slime and moss from living under rocks.

Damn that’s an alarming comparison for GS. Poole is obviously better but that was a gross, gross overpay.
Rooting for Lonnie too, hopefully he can turn into a consistent 16-20 PPG guy. He won’t give you much else and he needs to be more consistent but that type of scoring is valuable.
Also His 3 point shooting needs to be at 35-40% for someone with such a nice stroke.

Loonie is a starter and third best player, troy brown jr wasn't even a rotation player on trash wizards team, yet here he is a starter. Lakers are doomed. They already gave away next 5 years worth of picks. Now all they got to do is attach some remaing picks and trade away russ, to satisfy LeGM for his farewell tour and at best 1.round exit. :lol

At this point, it makes no sense for the LAvengers to trade Westbrick. They will have to give up assets to get someone who is supposed to help them this year, which we all know is lost. Westbrick is NOT going to net them 2 or 3 high quality 3 and D players and a 2nd playmaker, which is what the Lakers need to even be competitive at this point. Might as well suck up that Westbrick contract.
It makes the most sense to trade away Davis for some picks and dead contracts that they can buy out. However, they are projected to be over the cap this year and again in 2023-24 (let me know if I misread), and if they were to get rid of Davis for cap room, they will likely have to lose assets as well as every single team with cap room are teams who are rebuilding and have NO use for Davis. I also cannot think of a team to trade Davis to that has these dead contracts and willing to give up draft capital. Perhaps Nets with Irving? But then a market like LA will NOT accept someone like Irving. Simmons's contract is even worse so it makes no sense for the Lakers to trade accordingly. No team with cap room would want to take on Davis without taking on some future rebuilding assets (read picks). Davis, at this point, can only be useful on a contender type team, and none of those teams have the capspace to take him on, nor attractive enough draft considerations for the Lakers to bite. Harden is a possibility but I am not sure why 6ers would bite.
Beverly is only on the books for another year, so he can be traded early next year as an expiring.
Nunn is just way worse than anybody ever envisioned, no idea what the hell happened there. Just suck up his contract and count that as sunk cost.
The Lakers should pretend they are making trades to send out signals to their retarded fans that they are trying to improve, but in reality just deal with the crappy mistakes made over the last few years.
Lebron should be available as well and they should only try to get back draft capital and capspace in a few years.
This year, or even next year is so far gone as they are in luxury cap space anyways. They may not be able to shed too much salary and any attempt to give Westbrook away to a team with cap space (say Spurs) would result in losing draft picks. Given how rich the Lakers are, might as well suck it up and take the financial hit this year.
Lebron cant be traded this season because of the extension he signed IIRC tbh

The Knicks make the most sense if it comes to it with Davis.
They can build numerous packages around some combination of Randle, Robinson, Toppin, Quickley, Reddish and they have tons of picks.

Huh? I thought you were stationed in CA.
Anywho, ironic in that for the past 6 games Westchuck has been shooting well and getting assists at a good rate. Last night he drilled a trey to give the Flamers a 114-112 lead with 2 minutes to go.
I thought Ham pulled him after that.
Recheck of box shows Ham did leave him in. He bricked a 10 footer (can't remember if it was a good fg attempt or not and I aint going back over the recording).
My bad, orgiaallyl i thought Ham pulled him after his last made trey.
That having been said, it looks like Ham did pull him for the final minute. Hold on, I'd do you a solid and look at the vid. Seems like he did have a pathetic zero effort on defense in the last minute which is when Ham pulled him.

Possibly Ham benched Westbrick after a sorry defensive effort. Even tho he had a good shooting game (4-7 treys) and the Flames needed a trey.

Breaking Capt's record is quite a feat, and doing it with 4 rings and 4 Finals MVPs puts Lebron on Mt Olympus of the NBA for sure. Add in that he won championships with 3 different teams as their best player of course. GOAT is personal preference, most contemporaries choose Mike. I get the Spurs homer hyperbole but it's not rational.
I still think it’s MJ over Bron Kobe Tim Kareem if we talking strictly NBA …
But also consider that Bron not only won titles with 3 different coaches but 3 different franchises
Different wing men as his #2. Spo is the only coach of his that is sniffing the HOF he won with Lue (solid) and Vogel (above average) heck Spo was unproven when they won as well
Bron of the top 4-5 players has the most unique resume and definitely deserves a seat at the table when talking GoATS even over Kobe or Timmy who I prefer over him … personally… I’m just not a blind homer. It’s MJ then kareem or Bron then it’s the Timmy Shaq Kobe but I think there is a clear leader.

How can you possibly put Kirby Bryant in the same talk as Shaq and Tim?
No.
Among other things the dipstick shot the Lakers out of any 2004 chance and was a huge reason Shaq was run out of town.

Not arguing for Kareem and I think your teams success should be a factor, along with impact, dominance sustained greatness and peak performance compared to the other greats.
Some guys will fare better in some of these categories than others but dismissing Kareem completely seems silly.
And also seems kind of convenient having 50 wins as some arbitrary threshold or criteria… gee, I wonder whose case choosing that helps?!

I agree
It is puzzling to me why Kareem didn't dominate his early Career but I think it was a lack of motivation. He physically dominated the sport at multiple levels and let's be honest Basketball was an after thought at the time.
I might be bias but I think Kareems portfolio puts him near the Top and IMO solid #2. I rank Bird & Duncan arguably higher than others but I don't believe their accomplishments quite compare. Especially when one considers off the court influence.

Off the court stuff shouldn’t factor in comparing players
Social activism and pro athlete career are 2 distinct things, as much as I respect what Kareem has done off the court - except for being a shit father (on that note, fuck Larry Bird too)

Don't think so yet.
With todays NBA parity an article cited how if the last 4 games the Lakers have most stunningly had key calls go against them, had they won those 4 games they would actually be well in the playoff seeding zone.
Think it's just more that Lebron is finally slowing down and AD has always been a China Doll.

Nah, disagree. He loved Kobe. His number 28 represents Gigi (2) and Kobe (8). He likely grew up a Laker fan. He not boltingPERIOD.
He had some mental issues with living in DC. But LA has a huge Japanese population so I'm not sweating his past.
I heard both Bron and AD speaking highly of him at two separate pressers. Do you know what that does to a young player's confidence?
Of course you wish ill on him because he's a Laker. That's cool. I'm hoping this young man found a home in LA. He's only 24. I like it. I like it a lot. :tu

Lebron is 38 years old. Nobody would ever evaluate Jordan based on his days with the Wizards.
If Kareem missed the playoffs when he was 38 instead of his prime, nobody would say anything. Same for Kobe.
That said, Lebron is definitely LeGM now, in a stage in his career where he just wants all the glory and none of the blame. For that he deserves ridicule.

If it wasn't for him forcing Davis here you guys would be light one. He does strong arm, a lot, and honestly it costs him more rings. At the end of the day, he got four rings, will be scoring champ of all time, 4th in assists, 5th in ppg, 35th in rebounds, 10th in steals. The guy is not human, PEDS or not.

Also, AD is back and they're still losing to lottery teams at home :lol
If people are gonna praise him for putting up numbers on a lottery team, in a watered down era from a defence standpoint, where there's borderline stars going for 40 and 50 on the regular.
He's also not exempt from criticism when he fails to get the team going.

Also, the fact that Lebron fans have to constantly bring up off the court stuff to try and discredit Jordan, just let's me know that deep down they know that if you keep it strictly on the court, Lebron can't hang :lol
Jordan is a capitalist, he is who he is, he never pretended to be anything else.
Lebron pretends to be a social activist, but then turns around and takes huge sums of money from Nike, a company that employs slave labour.
He was also quick to condemn Morey and Kyrie, because he's a lap dog for the jewish and the chinese :lol

So Jordan was playing worse at age 38 while leading a team in much worse conference to the lottery despite having 3 years less wear and tear on his body? Really more like 4.5 years less wear and tear once you factor in his first retirement. If LeBron's a bitch for missing the playoffs at 38 so is Jordan.

Rob Pelinka ruined our season. Although I like the current new editions, Lakers don't have to play 62 year old Bron so many minutes as they were trying to overcome Russ if they would have traded for Myles Turner and Buddy last offseason, as we all thought.
Reminds of Mike D playing 57 year old Kobe a ton of minutes trying to will a flawed roster to the playoffs. Kobe tore his Achilles, Bron likely to his plantar fascias (TBD if his season is over; only 21 games left).
I'm declaring this season over. We have the players around AD to keep us afloat, but do we honestly think AD is going to play all 21 games at a high level and not get hurt? I'm not holding my breath.
I'm looking forward to seeing if Snitch gives the Lakers a reason for not S&T him for Kyrie in the offseason.
Time to evaluate the new giys. Keepers for next year: Vando, Beasley, and Rui. Snitch: TBD (Bron being out is a great opportunity for him; I hope he seizes it because I don't want flat earth dude in lala land).

Translation Lakes have two all time superstars that get hurt but one or the other cannot lead when the other hurt and put up empty stats. Entitled team that has a bunch of reruns including headcase A. Russell that other teams have discarded once they realized how limited they are. Nothing to see here.

You should really worry about the pels as they will take your high lottery pick.

Not if we finish ahead of them. Then there will be no 2023 pick swap ;)

Should certified Laker Haters be rooting for them to make or miss the Play In / Playoffs?
Whats the deal with the draft pick? I know they don't own it but....

He's right though. The west is actively making moves trying to take down GS.
While the east will gladly give LeCoon a pass to the Finals every season.
