Maybe Doc shouldn't give Harrell 30 minutes and Zubac only 17 minutes in a game where Harrell can't guard anybody. This has been a consistent issue all year, and really, the entire time Doc's been here. He doesn't use his personnel correctly. Why a scrub like McGruder is guarding the other team's best perimeter player every game is beyond me.

The front office is probably going to do something by the trade deadline at this point, but whoever we bring in will start looking underwhelming once they get used to Doc's "system." We've already shuffled the roster several times and Doc has never come close to winning anything of importance here, and he never will.

I think the Lakers are sort of playing possum with the Clipps. For example, no PnR with Bron and Dwert or Bron and AD. We know Brow and Dwert are great finishers.

I'm thinking Vogel doesn't want the Clipps to get too much on tape for the Clipps to gameplan for in the playoffs. The offensive sets are kind of vanilla tbh.

Meanwhile, the Clipps are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the Lakers. They don't have any playmakers so it wouldn't be hard to dissect what they do in film sessions.

Sweet Lou (a scorer) leads them in assistesis at 6.3apg.

Caruso got elbowed in the face by accident, that's why he played so few minutes. At one point, Lakers were down by 20, Cook and Daniels were the reason the game wasn't a blowout.

In the end, it came down to awful defensive rotations by McGee, which allowed the Magic to make open shots down the stretch. For whatever reason, Vogel decided to play McGee in the last few minutes instead of Howard like he usually does. Also, i would have liked to have seen something drawn up, other than a long contested 3 by Lebron on the last possession.

The Magic's big men definitely bothered the Lakers. Luckily for the Lakers, very few teams in the league can match them in terms of length and athleticism.

Anyway, you're not gonna win them all. On to the next one :tu

In the end, it came down to awful defensive rotations by McGee, which allowed the Magic to make open shots down the stretch. For whatever reason, Vogel decided to play McGee in the last few minutes instead of Howard like he usually does. This type of shit is why I'll never believe this team is getting past the second round with Doc until I see it happen. A decision has to be made between Simmons and Embiid tbh; they really can't coexist together. Embiid is the better player when healthy, but his health is a huge question mark. I'd move Simmons personally since his inability to shoot will inevitably kill his team come the postseason.

Lakers won't lose to anyone in the West outside the Clippers unless Utah swings a trade for a legitimate defensive option for Lebron (Covington or Iggy?), though I could see the Pelicans giving them a series in the first round if they manage to snag the eighth seed.
