I thought the debate was pretty much a draw which means Biden won. All he had to do was look like he didn't have dementia. It would have been a landslide win if he hadn't said he was getting rid of carbon fuels completely. Of course, he backtracked later.
Seems to be the general consensus. Status quo.
I was hoping for Trump to implode like the first debate. Guess the threat to cut off his mike imposed some sense of restraint.

the only polls that really matter at this point are the ones with the voting machines.
Joe had to miraculously win this to have a shot at taking the belt from Trump, and that didn't happen.

imo, some of the better analyses:
Biden wasn't crushed, held his own, "was all that he needed to do" (as long-time polling leader for 18 months)
Trash LIED, LIED, LIED, which is his main skill and attraction to his minority base, beyond which he has no appeal and is LOSER
iow, the debate exposed nothing new, affirmed the status quo.

I would actually give the edge to Biden in debate 1. Trump started getting killed in the polls afterwards. Lost some female support as he came across looking like an ahole.
