so is georgia electing two democrats, or two republicans?

I’m not voting because I think it’s going to be razor thin. Early voting stats look good for Dems (black voters have higher turnout than white voters so far in Ev) but I still think Perdue/Loeffler have the edge.

This is definitely what happened in the 2008 GA runoff but I think Trump has done the Dems a solid by acting like a petulant child and keeping the election front and center in everyone’s mind. There will inevitably be the usual disaffected millennial/Gen Z voters who don’t vote but so far black turnout in the runoff has been solid.

There’s no way these polls are effectively gauging turnout accurately since no one knows what turnout is going to look like.

Also worth noting that Trafelgagel polls really suck when Trump isn’t on the ballot. In 2018 Trafeldinger had Kemp beating Abrams by 10+%.

She doesn’t want to be chair, she wants to be GA governor. I honestly think if she wanted to be chair the establishment would give in to pressure and make her chair, win or lose these Georgia races.

The fact she’s made this race close in and of itself is an accomplishment. 12 years ago the Republican won the runoff race in GA by 15% because of depressed enthusiasm after Obama won. These runoff laws in the south are intended to help Republicans and Abrams has flipped them on their head to help Dems this time around.

It’s also far from a certainty that she’d get elected governor of GA in an unfriendly 2022 midterm environment, she’d be an underdog running against Kemp.

I wish people around her would try to convince her that DNC chair has more opportunity. I’m worried Jaime Harrison is gonna be DNC Chair which would be a bad pick. He was a charismatic candidate but his macro campaign strategy of doing no townhalls or public appearances and just raising a shit load of out-of-state money from CA/NY Dems who hate his opponent clearly doesn’t work.

Judges need to have long terms and need to be term limited so they can’t be re-elected or re-appointed. Look at Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, it almost ruled in favor of overturning the state’s results, reason being that they have elections to worry about and need to side with Trumptards for their support.

The terms need to be long so you avoid the revolving door effect, a SCOTUS judge should be ready to retire when their term is over. You don’t want a SCOTUS justice gutting the EPA’s ability to combat climate change because he’s trying to lock up a job with Exxon Mobile when he’s up for “evaluation” next year.

No system is perfect, but my view is that judges who’s brains deteriorate is a more palatable risk than judges who aren’t impartial because they’re worried about what their next move is or how a ruling affects their re-election chances.

There’s just over 3 million early votes total so far (vs 4 million in the general) but the big thing is where they’re coming from. It’s predominantly the heavy Dem Atlanta counties and the rural black belt counties. The MAGA counties in northwest GA and SE GA are lagging behind their general election early voting numbers in a big way.

Which is probably a conservative assumption. Perdue has stayed in the basement for the runoff and hasn’t landed any real punches on Ossoff, while the debate clip where Ossoff eviscerates Perdue didn’t go viral until we got very close to the general and Ossoff had the great photo op of debating an empty podium because Perdue didn’t show up.

Spalding County reports 1,500 votes through 11:00am. If that same rate holds the rest of the day, they’ll be at roughly 60% of E-day turnout from November. If that’s actually reflective of how turnout is in other MAGAtard counties, it’s not good for Loeffler/Perdue.

Still expecting some unknown factor the pollsters/election modelers didn’t consider tho.

Nate Cohn of The New York Times/The Upshot estimates that total turnout will eventually hit 4.415 million — at least. It’s hard to overstate what a huge number that is for a runoff election. It would be more than double the previous record for highest turnout in a runoff, 2.1 million in 2008. Heck, it would be more than the 4.1 million people who voted in Georgia in the 2016 general election.

Dem counties like Cobb and Dekalb have a lot still to be counted. They won't do it all tonight especially absentee ballots, so I don't think this will be called anytime soon

Wouldn't be surprised if Perdue and Loeffler start talking about fraud at some point, just like the guy who's ass they've crawled up

Then watch the whole 60 minutes show where that came from, not a D’Souza production and then you’ll realize that it’s completely taken out of context :lol

I don’t owe anything to Soros, he could be the ultimate douchebag Nazi sympathizer for all I care, but the notion he was anything but a 15 year old jew trying to survive in Nazi Europe is retarded.
