It's going to be real easy to create a narrative based on evidence where Trump did not comply with the National Archives in the exit process and unlawfully disclosed the information multiple times. At that point, the Archives asked for the the documents back and he coordinated his aides to hide the documents around feigned compliance multiple times.
They nail him on say four federal counts out of the dozens and he gets to be the first US President to ever go to jail. That will be his legacy. He is so fucked. I like the idiots are willing to go down with him.
Even with a judge so clearly in the tank for him you think one juror won't be flipped to excuse everything he's done?

Let’s say he sold info to the Saudis, (which is not far off because there are documents still missing), you would still likely have the votes you need to convict. I promise you, you have not heard the worst of this yet.

He is having trouble finding lawyers that will represent him.
Given all of his legal troubles, he will need an army of competent lawyers to defend him. He is going to get the dregs, and that has consequences in the courtroom.

We’ve had 46 U.S. Presidents, and they’ve been indicted on a total of 71 felony counts. Here’s how it breaks down:
1-44: 0
45: 71
46: 0

That is the point. He has to rely on the rogue jurisprudence getting through the selection process.
On the merits, the case is easy.
It's the classic case of it not being the crime but the coverup that got him. He could have played stupid and returned the documents when he first got caught. Instead he did what he did and they don't have to subpoena the tapes this time.

There’s plenty of other former Presidents who have been guilty of crimes and should have gone to prison. Orange Man is just the first to be so stupid about hiding his crimes. Being One-Term Donnie and burning all bridges for a pardon didn’t help either.

Why couldn’t they have a superseding indictment if for example, they investigate and discover that? They seem to be operating as if the documents were compromised because there are still some missing.

The dominoes are slowly falling
https://oversight.house.gov/release/22447/
HOUSE UNANIMOUSLY PASSES CHAFFETZ LEGISLATION PROTECTING FBI WHISTLEBLOWERS
There is an onslaught of suppression from major media players that has never been witnessed before in the US.
BBC publishes pizzagate as fake news---suppressed information during their own Jimmy Savile's investigation
NYT publishes pizzagate as fake news---CEO was head of BBC during Savile cover up and lied to investigators
WaPo publishes pizzagate as fake news---published the most egregious fake news "fake news" story with PropOrNot
Three of the biggest media giants basing these stories on one statement "I don't even have a basement"
That's it. No investigation, end of story. lol journalism.
YouTube actively suppressing videos investigating, issuing false copyright strikes
Twitter banning the user who exposed a massive amount of users sharing child porn
Look at the timing of when you first heard the term fake news. Look at who is pushing the term fake news. This is a last ditch effort to suppress before it's all exposed.
The timing of Chaffetz getting that passed gives me hope.
(fyi the referenced bill was passed unanimously. dems dug their own graves there!)

You asked what the rush to indict could be from and I offered a plausible theory considering the indictment was announced mere hours after. Announcing the indictment right after the FBI document is reported on is a great way to bury the CHS 10 million dollar bribe story. It was well played politics and it worked.

i would not call it anything close to a rush…any other american that did HALF of what trump did would have been in jail awaiting trial for months now
having said that
this case is mainly about classified documents being mishandled, obstructing the investigation into the DOJ investigation and the - expediency was due to the govts responsibility to SECURE the docs and stop any nefarious activity involving these docs from continuing
so it is a priority and had trump done the exact same thing biden/pence/hrc did- this docs case would have been closed and the other investigations into any espionage activity could have continued without fanfare

all of these are part of their big scheme to help trump scream deep state and other nonsense
just like the lie that they regurgitate about biden

when in fact- that prosecutor was REFUSING to investigate corruption- but just like russia and trump and fox news - they are just following the russian playbook which is: if you REPEAT A LIE 24/7 - IDIOTS WILL BEGIN TO BELIEVE IT
this is why idiots like TSA repeat the “russian hoax” propaganda garbage because he heard it 24/7 WITHOUT FACTS

You asked what the rush to indict could be from and I offered a plausible theory considering the indictment was announced mere hours after. Announcing the indictment right after the FBI document is reported on is a great way to bury the CHS 10 million dollar bribe story. It was well played politics and it worked.

Who were paying people to make fake allegations…You keep repeating this lie 24/7 hoping idiots will begin to believe it.
https://twitter.com/GOPoversight/status/1668634089967026176
all of these are part of their big scheme to help trump scream deep state and other nonsense
just like the lie that they regurgitate about biden
that he threatened ukraine with big money to get rid of some prosecutor investigating burisma
when in fact- that prosecutor was REFUSING to investigate corruption- but just like russia and trump and fox news - they are just following the russian playbook which is: if you REPEAT A LIE 24/7 - IDIOTS WILL BEGIN TO BELIEVE IT
this is why idiots like TSA repeat the “russian hoax” propaganda garbage because he heard it 24/7 WITHOUT FACTS
and he began regurgitating it- instead of reading the mueller report- he regurgitated the “no conspiracy” part like a good russian propagandist and now look at his sad stateDurham proved Russiagate was a hoax and that the investigation was never properly predicated and Crossfire Hurricane should have never been opened.
The "no conspiracy" part came from Mueller himself.
"The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."
"The investigation examined whether [contacts between Russia and Trump figures] involved or resulted in coordination or a conspiracy with the Trump Campaign and Russia, including with respect to Russia providing assistance to the Campaign in exchange for any sort of favorable treatment in the future. Based on the available information, the investigation did not establish such coordination."
"The investigation did not establish that [Carter] Page coordinated with the Russian government in its efforts to interfere with the 2016 election."
"The Office did not identify evidence in those [contacts between Russians and people around Trump after the GOP convention] of coordination between the Campaign and the Russian government."
"The Office did not identify evidence of a connection between Manafort's sharing polling data and Russia's interference in the election ... [and] the investigation did not establish that Manafort otherwise coordinated with the Russian government on its election-interference efforts."
"The investigation did not establish that these [contacts between Russians and people around Trump during the transition] reflected or constituted coordination between the Trump Campaign and Russia in its election interference activities."
"The investigation did not identify evidence that any U.S. persons conspired or coordinated with the [Russian disinformation campaign]."

Yam Tits now claimed that the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago were “planted” in the boxes after they were obtained by the Department of Justice.
In a Truth Social rant, Yam Tits lashed out at Special Counsel Jack Smith on the morning of the former president’s arraignment at a Miami federal courthouse.
“This is the Thug, overturned consistently and unanimously in big cases, that Biden and his CORRUPT Injustice Department stuck on me. the bribe story is nothing new. the only thing thats new is that congress now has a document generated in 2020 that Trump/Barr's DOJ had access to at the time. the document alleges that somebody else has tapes that corroborate the alleged bribe. but we have not heard these tapes. nobody has been able to corroborate that these tapes exist. the tapes, if they exist, allege that joe received 5 million, and allegation that we already know about. but nobody has evidence of him receiving 5 million.
that congress now has a document that basically re-states previously made allegations is not really newsworthy. unless trump/barr were also protecting the Bidens
former potus indicted for federal felony offenses is actually quite newsworthy if you think about it.

just
presidential act blah blah
he de-classified the stolen docs
he is STILL president
hillary/biden/hunter biden/weaponization
usa secrets and military defense - not as important or a big a deal as lord trump
so
ZERO credible defense
The only chance he has is if the judge works to suppress evidence and the fast track appeal fails. She was overturned 3-0 by the conservative panel with he aberrant special master ruling last time she went to bat for him.

America already feels compassion for him seeing him falling down and stumble over 3 syllable words, pretty regularly. Biden is hard to dislike because we all have or have had a struggling geezer in our own families with the exact same struggles. You pardon Trump and you turn the conservative narrative of weaponizing the DOJ on it's head and you ultimately win big in 2024.
Democrats do this well; create a mess and then convince you that they are solution to the mess.

Trump’s Boxes and Clinton’s Sock Drawer
A president chooses what records to return or keep and the National Archives can’t do anything about it.
Although the indictment against Donald Trump doesn’t cite the Presidential Records Act, the charges are predicated on the law. The indictment came about only because the government thought Mr. Trump took records that didn’t belong to him, and the government raided his house to find any such records.
This should never have happened. The Presidential Records Act allows the president to decide what records to return and what records to keep at the end of his presidency. And the National Archives and Records Administration can’t do anything about it. I know because I’m the lawyer who lost the “Clinton sock drawer” case.
In 2009, historian Taylor Branch published “The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History With the President.” The book is based on recordings of Mr. Branch’s 79 meetings with Bill Clinton between Jan. 20, 1993, and Jan. 20, 2001. According to Mr. Branch, the audiotapes preserved not only Mr. Clinton’s thoughts on issues he faced while president, but also some actual events, such as phone conversations. Among them:
• Mr. Clinton calling several U.S. senators and trying to persuade them to vote against an amendment by Sen. John McCain requiring the immediate withdrawal of troops from Somalia
• Mr. Clinton’s side of a phone call with Rep. William Natcher (D., Ky.) in which the president explained that his reasoning for joining the North American Free Trade Agreement was based on technical forecasts in his presidential briefings.
• Mr. Clinton’s side of a phone conversation with Secretary of State Warren Christopher about a diplomatic impasse over Bosnia.
• Mr. Clinton seeking advice from Mr. Branch on pending foreign-policy decisions such as military involvement in Haiti and possibly easing the embargo of Cuba.
The White House made the audiotapes. Nancy Hernreich, then director of Oval Office operations, set up the meetings between Messrs. Clinton and Branch and was involved in the logistics of the recordings. Did that make them presidential records?
The National Archives and Records Administration was never given the recordings. As Mr. Branch tells it, Mr. Clinton hid them in his sock drawer to keep them away from the public and took them with him when he left office.
My organization, Judicial Watch, sent a Freedom of Information Act request to NARA for the audiotapes. The agency responded that the tapes were Mr. Clinton’s personal records and therefore not subject to the Presidential Records Act or the Freedom of Information Act.
We sued in federal court and asked the judge to declare the audiotapes to be presidential records and, because they weren’t currently in NARA’s possession, compel the government to get them.
In defending NARA, the Justice Department argued that NARA doesn’t have “a duty to engage in a never-ending search for potential presidential records” that weren’t provided to NARA by the president at the end of his term. Nor, the department asserted, does the Presidential Records Act require NARA to appropriate potential presidential records forcibly. The government’s position was that Congress had decided that the president and the president alone decides what is a presidential record and what isn’t. He may take with him whatever records he chooses at the end of his term.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson agreed: “Since the President is completely entrusted with the management and even the disposal of Presidential records during his time in office,” she held, “it would be difficult for this Court to conclude that Congress intended that he would have less authority to do what he pleases with what he considers to be his personal records.”
Judge Jackson added that “the PRA contains no provision obligating or even permitting the Archivist to assume control over records that the President ‘categorized’ and ‘filed separately’ as personal records. At the conclusion of the President’s term, the Archivist only ‘assumes responsibility for the Presidential records.’ . . . PRA does not confer any mandatory or even discretionary authority on the Archivist to classify records. Under the statute, this responsibility is left solely to the President.”
I lost because Judge Jackson concluded the government’s hands were tied. Mr. Clinton took the tapes, and no one could do anything about it.
The same is true with Mr. Trump. Although he didn’t keep records in his sock drawer, he gathered newspapers, press clippings, letters, notes, cards, photographs, documents and other materials in cardboard boxes. Then Mr. Trump, like Mr. Clinton, took those boxes with him when he left office. As of noon on Jan. 20, 2021, whatever remained at the White House was presidential records. Whatever was taken by Mr. Trump wasn’t. That was the position of the Justice Department in 2010 and the ruling by Judge Jackson in 2012.
A decade later, the government should never have gone searching for potential presidential records. Nor should it have forcibly taken records from Mr. Trump. The government should lose U.S. v. Trump. If the courts decide otherwise, I want those Clinton tapes.

I haven't read it, but I did hear Ben Shapiro go over it. He essentially echoed what some of you are saying here - that Trump is an idiot if all this stuff is true and he is a lawyer's worst nightmare as he does not listen to any of his attorney's instructions and in fact, asks them to lie and obstruct for him.
Given all the other stuff that Democrats have thrown at him that did not stick, I'm inclined to believe this wont either.

Either a substantial amount of that isn't true or there was simply no evidence that would sustain such a charge in a court of law.

The absolute dog shit false equivalences thrown out by the red team keep coming because 30% of Americans are just plain stupid.
30% is a very generous number, IMO. I operate under the assumption that 90% of people are morons.

Set up a private server to circumvent record keeping laws/FOIA.
People who had access and ran her private server didn't have security clearances.
Private server had terrible security setup and was hacked.
Illegally kept thousands of classified documents.
Removed classified markings.
Ignored congressional subpoena and deleted 33,000+ emails.
Wiped her server with bleach bit program.
Destroyed cell phones so FBI couldn't access.
Her classified documents were found on Weiner's laptop.
Had FBI destroy her aides laptops.
It's not exactly the same thing...far worse.
This is so absolutely ludicrous it will take a tldr to respond.
but I will. You are really trying to compare the two... I salute you for taking a large sword to the head.

I am required to believe we are better than that.
But I have nothing to back it up.
The last 6-7 years has been very disappointing from the "me first; muh rights" crowd.

these are all the russian playbook list of lies that are repeated 24/7 and (stupid ignorant) people begin to believe them
hannity repeats the above nonsense at least 3-4 times a week on his propaganda show
he also repeats the “russia hoax” and other russian playbook propaganda
and idiots like tsa just swallow it whole and therefore - they spread it also
hrc (love her/hate her) cooperated with the doj
and all of those points tsa spouted have been manipulated and twisted in the opposite way of what actually happened
but its too late now- the programming/brainwashing is already complete
you could put a gun to their head- then show them ACTUAL FACTS and then say
would you rather accept these FACTS
or
keep the lies and a bullet in your brain
they would choose the lies and the bullet every time

Imagine what would happen to qtsa’s mind if it was disclosed that hillary was “Q” and was feeding space aliens children so they could make covid-19 in Ukrainian bio-labs to raise money to pay for Hugo Chavez’ servers in Germany to rig the 2020 election?
Bet he would be saying “called it” like another idiot. :lol

Billing himself a “conservative activist,” Will Scharf announced Tuesday night that he would run in the 2024 GOP primary for Missouri attorney general.
“There are a lot of Republicans in Missouri, but few true conservatives,” said Scharf

Why is judge Aileen Cannon anywhere close to this case considering her obvious incorrect rulings concerning Trump (who appointed her)?
She should have zero to do with a case of this magnitude considering her inexperience and previous blatant blunder ruling concerning Trump.

Because cases are handed out based on jurisdiction, etc. I think people are jumping the gun on Cannon. It's true she was terrible in the prior civil case, but eventually she was overruled on appeal and hopefully learned a lesson.
Plus this case isn't going to last in her court if she plays games again, and the only one looking terrible is her.

Have you read the judgement that overturned her position? It was 3-0 and it wasn't indicating a mistake as much as stating that there was no legal basis, law, or precedent that would justify her partisan actions.

The Massachusetts Air National Guardsman (https://apnews.com/article/classified-documents-pentagon-leak-investigation-teixeira-6e35d62bec289b67edc7b1f9e24585e9) accused of leaking highly classified military documents has been indicted on federal felony charges, the Justice Department said Thursday.
Jack Teixeira faces six counts in the indictment of willful retention and transmission of national defense information.
He was arrested in April on charges of sharing highly classified military documents about Russia’s war in Ukraine (https://apnews.com/hub/russia-ukraine) and other top national security issues in a chat room on Discord, a social media platform that started as a hangout for gamers. The stunning breach exposed to the world unvarnished secret assessments of Russia’s war in Ukraine, the capabilities and geopolitical interests of other nations and other national security issues.
“As laid out in the indictment, Jack Teixeira was entrusted by the United States government with access to classified national defense information — including information that reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to national security if shared,” Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said in a statement announcing the indictment.
Each count in the indictment is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

I did. That's the point. Such decisions tend to leave a mark, especially when they're so public. At some point you really can't have many of those without calling for eventual impeachment proceedings.
