Get some contracts ready for players thus a hold on the (portal) wild west free agency that has already been legally tested in other sports.
The tampering turns all this into a mess. Do it right legally for once. Its going to take all the schools to get this done (they used to do this type of work through the NCAA which cant get it done)

I truly believe part of the lure for kids is relationships and know that they care what they can do for you as a player and teammate. NIL then even larger if relationships and feeling you are in the right spot are missing.
You know some kids, who enjoy the coaching and the school part, wont just leave at a relatively minor raise in NIL.

Then I found the Davis opinion given on the firing of Chris Beard in the Texas Tribune.

Believe it or not, the recruits like to come.
Its another chance to see the kids in Austin.
And the game was more than a glorified scrimmage for other teams trying to "steal" based on performance.

You know what I find out during the glorified scrimmage. Not only that Arch is more than his last name, but that Wingo is an absolute stud. Some things are hard to hide.
So yeah it was interesting. You cant hide great athletes. And of course we wont be the only team.
