Yah maybe, but don't you think that TD doesn't have to be as physical? He should be a huge benefit to this team for at least 5 more years. Manu may not be able to take that abuse for 5 more years. At the very least I think it may be a draw Mars.

The Spurs are just making Cleveland not even want to play anymore. The way Manu went all out for that loose ball while Cleveland just stood around is telling a lot about what these two teams' mindsets are.

Mike Brown made a comment today to the media, they were showing it on NBATV. I forget the exact wording but the question was about how the Cavs were reacting to the two days in SA, and he said something like 'the guys are just happy to be here, enjoying the moment..."

It was a weird comment and made it sound like he knew they had no chance and so did the players.

I know we've got a comfortable 24 point (25 point) lead, but there is a whole half left to play. Cavs won't continue shooting so poorly, I think.

ESPN blog about Bruce's out of bounds missed call:

HENRY ABBOTT: Of course, if you're watching on TV, you know that Bruce Bowen out-of-bounds call was miserable. Makes me remember that claim a few weeks ago by an anonymous referee, who said there were quotas that referees are worried about meeting. If that's true, I'm sure that out of bounds is one of them. Seem to be a lot of those calls as players initiate their move on the sideline. Usually we don't get that nice up-close replay.

Still... I'm sure we'll give at least half of this lead away in the second half. We usually do.

Cavs can kiss this game and the series goodbye tonight. This is the worst team to represent the East that I have seen in a long time, though I did not think the Heat were any good either. Mavs just choked last year.

The Mavs were way way better than this Cavs team... players, coaching, desire.... these Cavs are just bad.

Tony nailed it.

They've got to keep the intensity up.

I know I sound like Debbie Downer, but I want them to win and I don't want them to give it up as I've seen them do on other occasions. I want a Game 5 repeat.

It is probably the last game they play at home - make this next half amazing. So amazing that we get to see every last player on the damn team.

The refs made up for that call on the next possession when they called Pavlovich out of bounds.

3 second violation? didn't know it resulted in technicals - guess if it's within a certain amount of time.

Section VIII-Defensive Three-Second Rule
a. The count starts when the offensive team is in control of the ball in the front-court.
b. Any defensive player, who is positioned in the 16-foot lane or the area extending 4 feet past the lane endline, must be actively guarding an opponent within three seconds. Actively guarding means being within arms length of an offensive player and in a guarding position.
c. Any defensive player may play any offensive player. The defenders may double-team any player.
d. The defensive three-second count is suspended when: (1) there is a field goal attempt, (2) there is a loss of team control, (3) the defender is actively guarding an opponent or (4) the defender completely clears the 16-foot lane.
e. If the defender is guarding the player with the ball, he may be located in the 16-foot lane. This defender is not required to be in an actively guarding/arms dis-tance position. If another defender actively guards the player with the ball, the original defender must actively guard an opponent or exit the 16-foot lane. Once the offensive player passes the ball, the defender must actively guard an opponent or exit the 16-foot lane.
PENALTY: A technical foul shall be assessed. The offensive team retains pos-session at the free throw line extended. The shot clock shall remain the same as when play was interrupted or reset to 14 seconds, whichever is greater.

What is the purpose of this rule, anyway? What advantage could a team gain by not following this rule?
