Yeah, what the hell was he talking about "making a comeback with the starters in and not the bench"? Are Vaughn, Barry, Elson, Gino starters now?

TampaDude
06-10-2007, 10:48 PM
We still stopped them when it counted, so I see nothing for CLe to take into game three except they managed to whup or backups for 6-7 minutes, then our cold starters for about 2 minutes until we regained our focus.

Are you SURE most of that comeback was against our scrubs? The ABC guys were saying the Cavs came back against our starters...or was that just more LeBron cocksucking???

You're right, I'm sure Mike Brown got no ideas about playing small ball against tonight and putting Lebron on the court with four shooters (like he did in the fourth tonight).

No way in hell we will see that lineup again :rolleyes

Sure as hell looked that way, though, didn't it? For a minute there, there was a chance the Spurs could lose.

WHY OH WHY do they keep doing this shit? I was so looking forward to the "Spurs crush Cavs in Game 2" headlines...but they didn't crush the Cavs at all...they gave the Cavs GIGANTIC MOMENTUM going back to Cleveland...Cavs sweep at home...BOOK IT...Spurs in 6.

If it were all against our starters I would agree with you. It does suck though. I didn't want to give them NOTHING going into the other games.

It's disappointing but now at least the Spurs will come focused for the next game while the Cavs may be relaxing a bit thinking that they can reproduce the same 4th quarter

Brent Barry's balls shrink to 1% of their size in the playoffs.

The fucking guy is useless. He does the opposite of Robert Horry with respect to reg.season-playoff transition.

That was partly Pops fault. He left that dumbass lineup in too long, and it all went to hell when Barry missed those wide open shots. Our starters came in and were cold and were unfocused..

Hell, why post, when someone says exactly what im thinking.

The ABC guys think James is the greatest ever too. Duncan and Parker didn't come in until about the 6 minute mark, and the lead was down to 12 by then (it dropped to 8 after that, then went back up).

Hey Im sure Pop's not happy with this performance. Neither are the Spurs. This is like the wake-up call for them to be not overconfident and knowing they get all the shots to fall down.

When all's said and done, I think Tony and Tim are gonna be co-MVPs (is that a first?)

I'm pretty pissed that we let them back in...that's inexcusable. Pop shouldn't have started such a shitty lineup, Pop should have gotten all over the Spurs' ass when they quit playing D, and the Spurs players themselves shouldn't have quit.

Yeah lucky that Pop left that crazy lineup TOO long in the 4th. Can't say that I blame him, but as soon as that league dropped below 20, I'm bringing my starters back in. The only thing I can say is that the starters played the way we probably felt when Cle was making their run.

From the Cavs to the Spurs in the fourth quarter...

Hands down, goes to Tony Parker practicing his wedding dance down the middle of the lane and the officials looking for some wedding cake. Cavs had a chance to cut the lead to six, but instead three steps later and a wedding song Tony Parker was credited with a circus shot.

They made up for it by calling Sasha Pavlovic for the same exact thing the next possession. Besdies, Bowen stepping out of bounds when you're up 20+ is nothing compared to Parker getting away with a blatant travel during a huge comeback.

The Cavs lost because they played like crap for 36 minutes.

From where I sat.........the door was open for Cavs to grab their own destiny and they stepped in only to get the door slammed in their face by Manu's dagger & 1 and Tony's clutch baskets.

You've got to remember that the Cav's know how much effort they put in while the Spur's bench was on the floor and after the substitutions took place after their run, probably their best run of the postseason, that they still fell short. Yeah, it gave them hope that they closed the gap but falling short in spite of your best efforts tears you up.

Not to forget that the Spurs play better on the road than they do at home, 2005 Finals road games notwithstanding.

Anyways, the Cavs couldn't solve the regular rotation and their 4th quarter comeback against a coasting Spurs team really doesn't create much worry. Just a little hope for the Cleveland faithful heading into Game 3. Maybe Pop will play Vaughn, Barry, Udrih, and Bonner 20+ in Game 3 to make it all relevant.

Is Dirk the only troll we have tonight?
One last Mavs fan to hold down the fort?

Where are all the obnoxious Cavs fans that have been spewing all over the board for a week now?

Do they come back before game 3 and tell us how the Cavs will still win the series?

Do they only come back if the Cavs win one game?

It's so amusing how BIG they talk. When their team disappears so do they.

That's what I like about most of the Spurs fans here. After last year's end in the semi's they were still here. A fan stays, even through losses.

I guess I thought some of the Cavs idiots would prove to be worth something as posters on this board.

I guess I was wrong. They appear to have joined the Nuggets/Suns/Jazz idiots that also talked so BIG.

It's a good night to be a Spurs fan.
