Parker isn't any better of a defender than Nash without Duncan in your lineup.

I wouldn't go that far but certainly Parker isn't the elite defender some of Spurs fans believe he is although his effort to contain Dirk was very good last night. TP can't contain Williams. That was quite obvious in last year's playoffs. In fact Deron Williams is basically, taller, younger, more atheletic version of Kidd plus Deron can actually shoot jumpers far better than TP or Kidd.

I would trade TP for Deron any day but I would totally doubt that Sloan would even entertain that idea.

It's really disheartening to see Parker like this. He is a great player but he does struggle with quick PGs. This is not news. Playing against Gibson in the finals allowed him to dismantle the Cavs as he was no match to him but I don't think he would have had such a wonderful series with Williams on him during 7 games. If you want to call me a manu homer for saying this, please be my guest but what is going on is clear. Parker need to up his confidence when playing against challenging PGs and work on his D on them so we can use Bowen on other resources.
