TP has been playing really good lately! Another nice start for TP!

But is there a reason why Manu had barely taken any shot attempts in the last few games?

In today's game, thus far, Manu took one shot attempt...in the game vs Pistons, he took 10 shots attempts the entire game...Is that because he's tired? Or because TP/TD are rolling, so they get a ton more shot attempts? Cuz TP/TD are taking a lot more shot attempts...

Manu - bad bruises can really take away your lift and explosiveness. he's basically playing injured right now.

The role players just look HORRIBLE. What happened to their motion offense? In the first 20 games i looked forward to seeing the reserves because they cut, moved the ball and got good shots. Now they barely look like basketball players.

BRING BACK JV. The MM experiment has been a failure. Fuggedaboutit.

Yeah, you're right. It looks like he is playing with no energy...it does look like he's really tired. He's not aggressive. I also think his thigh contusion is a lot worse then he lets on...but unfortunately, I don't think Pop will give a day off at the moment...really bad timing at the moment...

And I see him trying to pass the ball almost every time...trying to create shots for his teammates...unfortunately they aren't making them!

I think winning the championship last year has blinded head office when it comes to revamping the bench. I'm not saying the team needs an overhaul, but you're right about the bench. Stoudamire is damaged goods and doesn't live up to his "potential" of what we're getting.

I SWEAR i have a better jumps shot than JV.

I am really starting to believe that.
Can't really knock Vaugh. When he hits them it's jsut bonus. But yeah, I hate to see our offense run through him. He should be the last resort ALWAYS. He should be demanded to pass the ball as long as there's a defensive player within 15 ft of him. 20 Ft and he should shoot the ball, but below that PASS the f'ing ball.

He was a stupid pick up out of necessity. I really wish Pop didn't cut Darius washington SO soon.

The whole, we have a decent guy here, NO FUCK HIM sequence was irritating, as was the whole sign a guy for a day, cut him the next day thing, with DerMarr Johnson and others. It's like we're allergic to young players nowadays. Even if they ain't that great, a little enthusiasm and some fresh legs would be nice.

Outside of TP and Manu, there's no speed and athleticism on this team. If young teams like Philly hit their outside shots, it's going to be a long day for the Spurs.

BTW, New Jersey is playing Utah tonight, so Devin Harris and DeSagana Diop are going to completely shut down Boozer and Williams, right guys?

Stupid comment.

Harris worries TP because of his SPEED - D Williams is more a strength PG, so he should abuse Harris.

Diop worries Duncan because of his length, but Boozer is much quicker than he is, unlike Timmy.

In other words, you have to look at the individual attributes of the players rather than making blanket statements.

i've never understood why Tim doesn't just GO when he gets the ball. and go strong. that was a weak attempt to get a foul.

One of the problems I used to have with Timmy in the past was that he would try way too hard to simply draw the foul as oppose to genuinely trying to score the bucket. This season, he's been getting hosed by the refs every game, so I'm curious to see how he's been adjusting.

He usually dunks a lot more in the playoffs, so I'm sure as in seasons past, we'll see a much more aggressive TD in April, May (and hopefully June)

I think winning the championship last year has blinded head office when it comes to revamping the bench. I'm not saying the team needs an overhaul, but you're right about the bench. And it's not even like when they're missing shots, the bench has a superb veteran IQ this season to make up for it.....our 4th quarter execution in tight games has been downright pitiful at times.

Now were getting somewhere. It seems a lot of folks around here want to give the FO a pass because they found Ginobili and Parker. Folks that was 7 years ago!. Winning a title does not provide an exemption from improving the team. In case you haven't noticed, this is a "what have you done for me lately"-type of league. I'm sorry but RC and Pop do not get a pass here.

It's clear, the Spurs need bench players who are energetic, talented and hungry. For some reason, the FO didn't want to give guys like D-Washington and DeMarr Johnson a chance. Keeping essentially the same bench comprised primarily of older players, whose skills have substantially eroded and whose best days are clearly behind them is inexcusable. Considering the manner and fatigue in which this team is going through, their dependence on these older players is a puzzling one. It's almost like the Spurs management detests younger players.
