The Spurs lost game 1, and I lost my streak of having the Spurs win when I start the game blog, which ended at 11 games.

Now, I'm hoping the Spurs take game 2 and I can go back to being a decent omen for the team....or else I've probably just turned into a total jinx for the team in this series.

Let's get the split!!!

Hey dude. I got jack to do with your threads, I am usually somewhere watching it, but if we lose again stop doing this. The series might have turned the luck thing upside down you know, then if we win wait till next series and turn it back on.

But I swear I don't believe in superstition.

I have to miss watching tonight, Monday I attend grad school. Good luck to both teams. The true fans here especially.

Here's a prediction:

Doesn't matter what happens tonight, I think this series is headed 7 and will be 2-2 after 4 games. Home court edge will shift at least once in this series. Maybe more. Now, please entertain us with some quality games!

But I will also say this -- if the Spurs lose tonight and if they lose this series, there will be no disgrace in that outcome. As a Spurs fan, the last 10 years have been more than I could have ever expected and more than most fans will ever experience in a lifetime of closely following a professional franchise. Years on top that nobody can take away. Titles that united a city. So many wins, a few heartbreaking losses. A team comprised of men who represent the best of professional athletics. It's been nirvana for a sports fan.

I want the Spurs to win tonight. I think the Spurs will win this series. But there should be some perspective here and it should recognize that the world won't end if the Spurs don't win Game 2.

Go Spurs Go!

I'll be honest, I didn't think we would get past the Suns.

To see that team play so well and dismantle them so quickly, was a thing of beauty. Yeah, it was only one round, but this team has been iffy all season. I have full faith that we'll retool in the summer and come back even stronger next year.

Great post and i agree on all points. I will say that as much as i want to win another title, repeat, keep the dynasty going all that good stuff, beating the Suns was glorious. Of course i want to win this series but playing the Suns who got Shaq just to get over the hump that is the Spurs, combined with all the emotions of that series was a huge relief for me that the Spurs came through it. Have to keep things in perspective here, we got 4 rings and it has been one of the great runs ever.
