I don't see that working tbh. They basically gave Biden a pass for the crime bill as a good faith effort in the face of a crisis and busing didn't work anyway so what difference could that really make? That plus eight years with Obama plus Sanders' awkward-at-best relations with minorities make this strategy a waste of time. Might as well try whatever the GOP will try against Biden to turn off whitey.

You might very well be right but I don’t see Biden losing without someone chipping into his black voter lead, and all the other candidates who could have served as hitmen for Bernie on that front (Kamala & Booker) are out, so it’s getting close to Hail Mary time imo.

I also think that no matter how low the chances of being able to take away his support from black voters are, they’re higher than the chances of getting middle aged and older white Democrats to support someone else.

Setting all of that aside, the kiss of death for Bernie is going to be the wedge between him and Warren...the only shot either one had is if the other bowed out early and threw all of their support towards the one still in the race.

Why not? The only way he’s going to make a dent in the black support Biden has is with mudslinging. Even though it’s a gross exaggeration, he should start calling Biden “Jim Crow Joe” as an attack for Biden being against bussing, and he should spam campaign ads showing Biden being buddies with Trent Lott. Might be dirty and dishonest but it works.

It’s not so much emulating Trump as it is doing what usually works with low information voters which is beating them over the head with the same smear campaign over and over again until it starts to resonate. Shaniqua Jackson the high school dropout isn’t going to flip from Biden to Bernie unless Bernie does a better job making it simple for her.
