If he doesn’t perform as well as John Kerry did in 2004 (since that was also against an in bent in a good economy and is more comparable than 2016) then I’ll say I was wrong.
Fortunately that’s a pretty ing low standard.
Getting people fired up will do that. Political passion counts, for good and for ill.
At this point almost everyone has a strong opinion about who should win and ready disdain for other candidates and their supporters. Singling out this or that candidate for what people say on social media is a reliable indicator of who the speaker doesn't like, and little more.
I tend to doubt Trump and Bernie have a monopoly of trolls online.

just how long do we want to continue the status quo - if we already know the outcome?
The rich/poor gap is already obscene and it is inevitable that it will lead to destruction - so how long will we play the game every 4 years of just going red to blue to red to blue -
with each side just filling their own pockets and each side protecting their own interests while each side es about the other side while that side is in power -
and then rinse repeat?
At least OLD MAN bernie is trying to take a different route - and the fear and panic of losing "all we've ever known" is just plain stupid.
It is like carrying a bag of everywhere you go - and complaining every day that "something stinks" and then getting upset when someone suggests that = maybe - you should lose the bag!
Kerry was also up against a war-approving post-9/11 voting population who saw a vote for a Democrat as a vote for another attack on our soil. Plus Michael Moore was in his prime (popularity wise) and was basically the face of liberals, which was not a great look.
