wtf is "Let Dairy Die" anyways??!? Is this in honor of AOC's "let's get rid of all the farting cows" comment? Or is it for national top-freedom?

Sanders' only path to the nomination now is if he completely dominates the rust belt states with Biden taking Virginia, Minnesota, and North Carolina and likely being a huge favorite in Florida. The only state that matters much towards a general election that Bernie won tonight is Colorado. This race is about 95% over. This is total disaster for the Sanders campaign.

    from an email

"Moments ago, in the middle of tonight's Super Tuesday primary returns,

Democrat Kevin O'Connell was declared the WINNER of a special election for the Maine House!

This district favored Donald Trump by nearly 8 points in 2016,

making it a prime target for Republicans up and down the ballot and

a key bellwether for Susan Collins' re-election chances.

Bernie can win WA, CA, OR big time plus the rest of the mountain west states, ND, SD, NE etc and then WI and MI but IL, IN, PA and OH are too black for Bernie IMO.

Yeah I’m no longer convinced Bernie would have done much for voter turnout come the general election. These results are awful for him even when you factor in media favoritism.

You're way too optimistic. The Bernie/Biden contrast going forward favors Commie Cuck. All those last minute dropouts helped b/c people weren't being especially critical of Biden.

This is definitely true and it’s my main criticism of how this has been handled. Biden was basically allowed to coast through the month of February without any spotlight on his dementia symptoms and then he gets a huge boost 24-48 hours before Super Tuesday with drop outs/endorsements. It was basically a perfect storm for a candidate who needed a path that allowed for as little exposure and media appearances as possible.

Still too little too late though for any Bernie comeback after this imo.

Wonder how big of a deal Corona played in all this. I got in and out of the voting place in like a half-hour, but I could imagine someone worrying about being stuck in a line with a bunch of people potentially spreading the virus. We're talking about people who wouldn't normally vote here. You add that to the belief that Sanders was going to clean up today potentially creating a 2016-esque situation where way fewer people turned out because they didn't think they had to. I could see this being a underrepresented result.

But you could argue that if anyone was going to show up under fears of virus, that it'd be Sanders people, so maybe not.

yeah, i dont know. at this point older dems were scared of the unknown, but imo if we walked away with the nom in june and the party was more or less behind him, over the span of several months between then and the election those people would have warmed up to him

Wouldn't Sanders supporters be more likely to be anti vaccine?

    Fearless bunch if true.

Um... I don't know why they'd be anti-vax but pro health care. But maybe?

I think he could have done more to combat the fear of the unknown. I never heard him make the “We nominated a moderate 4 years ago and she lost” argument even when it was begging to be made.

Still think it’s a massive up to pick someone like Biden who’s an effective you to the Bernie voters. Wouldn’t even need someone like Warren to appease the Bros imo, instead the DNC picked a guy who’s widely known for being a moderate.

I think he was saying the BernieBros would be the enthusiastic ones willing to risk getting coronavirus while waiting in line.

Bernie gonna get a TX, CA boost to pull within punching distance. From there, he just has to outperform Joe state by state in the upcoming weeks.
