Being stupid enough to run for President and actually win.
oh, so it was just after his election that you found love.
thats adorable
Being stupid enough to run for President and actually win.
Wow unhinged post.
You have me confused with someone else apparently.
But nothing else.![]()
Wash your hands, .
It's his job.
Why are you upset that we expect someone do his job?
It's not personal responsibility. You're probably getting it at some point and so am I. People are extremely contagious without showing symptoms and even when they are knowingly sick many are still going to be working at your grocery shop, at your ice house, at any restaurant you go out to, etc. because our government doesn't believe sick leave for its citizens in the middle of a pandemic is worth investing in.
My daughter's college has rest of semester online only. My son's high school has classes starting Monday.
I think my biggest risk is my kids getting it and bringing it home.
I know. If they gave away the classes for free or effectively free on the internet then nobody would take them. Or everyone and then the degree is effectively useless as a sorting mechanism.
This is not a new practice for me. I've always done that.
Congress controls budgets and funding at the national level. At a personal level I do my part and give paid sick leave.
It's already useless as a sorting mechanism.
UVA med has gone completely online indefinitely
i already worked from home.
so we are quarantining ourselves from the rest of the world right now![]()
Does Italy have sick leave?
And what about when you go to HEB or Valero? Do you not eat and drive?
Yeah, I just became mindful of all the indirect contact I have with people via surfaces just going about my day. Barring a hazmat suit or Spider-Man sanitizer shooters this is going to be super difficult to avoid. Flattening the curve is the only option remaining.
It is becoming increasingly useless. But lowering the barrier to an online udemy course makes it more so.
Yes, hopefully it'll chip away and give the hospitals time to catch up to the storm they're in and we are about to be in.
It has increased drastically for me tbh. Not a new practice though.
I mean I wash my hands a lot and try to be careful about what I touch, but am I not supposed to talk to people, go shopping, get the mail, drive my car, etc? All I'm hoping to accomplish with being careful is not increasing the rate of infection. If I don't get it it'll be mostly because I got lucky based on how this is projected to spread.
sick leave is like healthcare, America is the only modern country that doesn’t have it for all of its citizens.
I recognize there is risk. I carry hand sanitizer and paper towels in my truck. I use a paper towel to operate the gas pump. I take advantage of the alcohol wipes to clean the handle of shopping carts. I consciously not touch my face until I can wash my hands after general exposure. I know I still might get it.
It didn't stop or slow their storm. They've moved to drastic actions as a result. And we will have do the same. We've had massive crowds for weeks from political events, sporting events, marathons, movies, Bingo's, churches, etc. Many of those still haven't stopped. Sick leave isn't going to do tbh.
Oh , I pulled open a door/used a touchscreen/grabbed a gas pump razor blade....
