Because the Democrats control the Deep State and use the FBI as an arm to defeat political opponents like Donald Trump, obviously. So I don't get why Trump and McConnell would give them this kind of ammo.
10 Dems voted with him, and Bernie was a no-show. The amendment passed by 1 vote. This is why everyone hates Dems, just less than Repubs.
