He is supporting a dude who at the very least, attempted to sexually assault Tara Reade.
Don't get it wrong, I don't support Biden. I actually despise Biden, everything he represents, and made myself very clear on that here, and I'm still on the fence whether I'm going to vote at all.

The only reason I'm considering to vote is to cast a protest vote against this administration.

I'm also in California now, my vote really doesn't matter much at all either.

She has her own problems, too. A serial liar.

None of which should affect the rest of us or how he runs the country if elected.

All of your points are well taken, but wouldn't it be better to get rid of a wannabe tyrant first before you attempt to make changes from the ground up? As has been said before, I dont think Biden is here for the long haul. 2024 is a better starting point without having to deal with a guy who wants to run this country like an authoritharian asshole.

Strategically speaking, if he doesn't choose a black VP right now he probably deserves to lose.
Yes, get Kamala. Not like she hasn't locked up thousands of blacks.

I want the DNC to move left, for once. And not some fake bull , like these policies that Biden is "pushing" that wont reach the floor. I know it wont happen, and I've made my peace with it. I am just not going to "vote for the lesser of two evils". If every vote I cast from here till the day I die is a thoraway vote, then that's what I'll do. Progressive policies are always going to end up on the end of the stick so long as we allow Nestle/Bezos and other corporations to run this country

But I dont think he raped. It's been my stance from the start.

The ensuing stories and revelations that have come out about her are just reenforcements of her chronic lying to get what she wants. That's been discussed to death here though already.

You're right, he didn't rape. He just tried to pressure her into having sex with him and inappropriately touched her. Sexual harassment

And 4 years from now, or even 8, you guys will still be handed a center right candidate for the primary, and you guys will still say "XYZ is too dangerous. we have to vote for ____"

Maybe the next one willl be able to put a full, coherent sentence together, though, because that's something libs or the right aren't ready for, judging by the two sacks of flesh we have out there right now.

Before I saw how bad Trump was at crisis management, I was hoping for a Trump re-election and the Democrats taking the senate to prevent more conservative judges. That would have led to complete gridlock for 4 years and a blue waive in 2022 + 2024. Now that I've seen how ed up this country can get with just 4 years of Trump, I'll hold my breath and vote for Jim Crow Joe.

I gathered from the rest of your posts that you want Democrats to move left, but I'm asking what you think should happen right now in order for that to start happening in the near future. In other words, how do we get to a viable left wing party?

I wouldn't know how to. Bernie had an entire movement and the MSM just scared people into believing he was unelectable. So I don't have an answer for that, and maybe there isn't one

America under the indoctrination of the last several decades simply cannot move left.

People believe, ignorantly but indoctrination/religion makes you ignorant, that neoliberal, unregulated "lassez-faire" Capitalism is the only and best way to organize society.

The corporate model, aka the hammer with which to hit every nail, should be applied to govt and universities.

The Dems, supposedly the part of the Have-Nots, are as owned and operated by BigDonor the Repugs.

So there really is not hope for America, ed and un able, in permanent decline, a failed state.

Could happen: Dems keep the House by a large margin, and take the WH and Senate with 51+ seats.

NOTHING will change, since the Dems will do nothing that upsets their BigDonor class.

The DNC will have to implode for any meaningful change, tbh... you would've thought '16 was a warning sign, but they keep doubling down on stupid.

Again, water under bridge right now. Hopefully if they lose again in November, there's some sort of wake up call.

@ the bull being pushed at you.

”Just vote for our centrist establishment guy this ONE LAST TIME, and we PROMISE we’ll go more progressive in the future. Like super duper pinky swear promise!”

We already fell for that bull in 2016.

The only logical reason to go Biden is because of RBG’s seat. There is nothing else. He is a dog candidate that nobody with actual dignity and self respect should be enthusiastic about, but unfortunately we are at such a massive crossroads that you probably just gotta suck it up and go for him. And then NEVER AGAIN, especially when they pull this same ing bull 4 years from now. “Vote for Klobuchar because Tom Cotton is so much more dangerous!” and on and on and on.

    establishment Democrats.

There won’t be. In 2024 the message will be “Nominate recently converted Democrat Jeb Bush. He’s even more of a Republican than Biden and Clinton were and he can win the center!”

She should have retired in 2016, but she wantd her crowning jewel moment to be Hillary picking her replacement. It's funny how that's what they want to use now, though.

2013 imo. If she retired in 2016 Cocaine Mitch would have blocked her replacement the same way he blocked Scalia’s replacement.

I think even Mitch knows there’s no way he could block a Supreme Court seat for 4 years. But he’d sure as try.

He didn’t have the majority until the 2014 midterms which is why I say 2013. The minute Obama was re-elected Breyer and Ginsburg should have stepped down.

Also when McConnells opposition is a less centrist cuckold like Chuck Schumer, he absolutely could block a SCOTUS seat For 4 years if the Republicans have a majority

What makes you so sure there will be any norms left if trump wins re-election? If he doesn't try to go full authoritarian by then, then he'll definitely have his daughter run with him as VP or some like that.

If Trump gets away with all of this and then carries it into a second term. The SCOTUS would be 7-2 at best or 8-1 at worst if not 9 alltogether.

There are no more wakeup calls, tbh.
