You'd rather be on the side that's losing every respected leader they've had in modern times? To each his own I guess.
It’s just getting to be a case of Boy Who Cried Wolf when every single one of them was “LITERALLY HITLER” a few years ago.

I'd rather be on the side that gets its agenda done by any means necessary, even if it means alienating former leaders in their party. This mindset is the problem Democrats have, they don't want to be the party of universal healthcare because it might make Joe Manchin and Heidi Heitkamp upset.
That's fine but we're talking about which party is in greater shambles right now and I would argue the party whose Presidential candidates from the past two decades are endorsing the opposing party's candidate is in greater trouble. Agendas are finite.

The rust belt Dems who voted Obama/Obama/Trump clearly didn't.
Are swerving back to 2016? I thought we were talking about 2020. Let me know.

You're saying the party that, despite being in the clear minority in terms of popularity, has been able to stacked the court with radical justices and controls (i) most state legislatures, (ii) most governor seats, (iii) the white house, and (iv) the more powerful branch of congress that approves judge appointments is the one in greater shambles right now? I don't see it.

Democrats celebrating GWB, Romney, and Mattis as heroes.
Don't forget McCain, and warmonger Bolton is a good guy, too.

We're talking about whether or not people want a revolution. The fact that a huge chunk of Democrats revolted against their own party in the most recent general election makes me think they're not happy with the status quo. Do you not think what happened in 2016 is relevant for 2020?

Yes, I think most of them rather liked how things were before Trump.
Which was what? Exactly the same. We just didn't have an absolute oaf at the top. But it's not like they're making the calls.

McCain helped saved Obamacare. He gets his due respect for that one.

We'd have ty Trumpcare which would be only accessible for the rich if it wasn't for him.

Health insurers fled the Affordable Care Act in the early years of the law, fearing that losses from covering too many sick people would eat away at their profits.
Now the insurers increasingly view Obamacare as a boon while job-based health coverage faces its biggest threat yet in a crashing economy.

With tens of millions of people losing their jobs — and their health benefits — along with major cuts to Medicaid, the insurers see stability and the promise of enough healthy enrollees in a marketplace that offers government subsidized private insurance to millions of Americans during a pandemic.

Shambles was the wrong word. Snakeboy described it as "melting down" in his original post. I don't think there's any question which side is melting down at the moment but I'm sure liberals will continue to try to snatch defeat.

If Barack Obama marched with Republicans to support their 2nd Amendment rights, he'd be welcomed unanimously by conservatives without an ounce of snark. They may lack conviction, intellectual integrity and humanity but they know how to win.

McCain kowtowing to GWB after that was some of the most shameless cuck behavior in the history of politics, even worse than Ted Cruz phone banking for Trump after Trump said his wife looked like a dog.

They may lack conviction, intellectual integrity and humanity but they know how to win.
Which is where the Democrats fail. wads like Schumer and Pelosi are more focused on being able to sanctimoniously claim the moral high ground than they are on actually winning.

Pelosi and Schumer are focused on being able claim they "play by the rules" while they rant and rave about how Mitch McConnell was such a big meanie when he blocked our supreme court nominee that one time

Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell views being able to pull the deciding SCOTUS seat out of his ass as the top priority and doesn't really give a about how much people like him or don't like him.

It’s just getting to be a case of Boy Who Cried Wolf when every single one of them was “LITERALLY HITLER” a few years ago.
People who thought Mitt Romney was "literally Hitler" are the ones most likely to have the kind of purity test that rejects the votes of centrists.
