As aforementioned... polygamy (not there yet), tax evasion (definitely a thing), more immigration fraud (definitely a thing, already a thing with straight couples but June 2015 really opened Pandora's box bigtime).

What needs to happen is, regardless of straight or gay marriage, there needs to be a 7 full calendar year legal federal minimum on marriages before a divorce can be legally approved, and then each party must wait a minimum of 5 full calendar years to be eligible for re-marriage. That would go a long way to eliminating most of the fraud. Everyone (legitimate married taxpayers and the IRS) would win, at the expense of fraudsters.

I didn't say that, I implied that both gay and straight marriage should be regulated equally. Gay marriage just opens up the door for more fraud possibilities.
