I'm having friends over tomorrow to hang out by the pool. Just use common sense.
It's spreading quite quickly among 20-29 year olds who went tubing in Hays country the last few weeks.

Having friends over for a pool party defies common sense, tbh.

A lot of immigrants and low wage peons who take it home staff those areas. They're also frequented by a lot of boomers spending their disposable income. Maybe not cases in residents of the zipcode, but it'll be an area where spread is happening.
Yeah but it's likely to be spread mostly to them and not from them in those zipcodes. The cashiers are wearing masks in Valero to protect the customer but the customers aren't extending that same courtesy. And the cashier is interacting with way more customers than the customer is cashiers. So that Valero cashier is mostly going to go spread it to his family back home, to the waiters and cashiers at the restaurants he eats at back home, etc. The virus may not be class conscious but the infection and mortality rates sure are.

You still going to bars then? Disagree on people going indoors more in the summer though than in the winter. Summer is when s come outside to go swimming, go the beach, go to park late in the day, etc. Ain't nobody out in the winter when it's 40 degrees with 20 mph winds.
It doesn't seem to spread much outdoors. Did you see the post by vy65? Less than one percent of protesters tested positive.

So, it spreads amongst tubers, but not people packed at that lake of the ozarks?

    Meh

Because I think people are getting it in some bars, spreading it at home.

I still go to one bar to play trivia. It's pretty dead, tho. If it was packed, I'd turn around and go home.

I'm really starting to think that distance and limiting exposure time are the most important factors. I'd follow that by hand washing and lastly, the mask.

The six foot number is BS indoors. Already been demonstrated a long time ago when people were shown to have caught the virus from a guy 14 feet away from them in a restaurant in China.

I think brief encounters are probably safe. If you're sitting down for a long meal, I'd choose the patio.

Thing is, our city has a ton of dives (with very good food) with no outdoor dining.

People go indoors when it's hot. That's where it's spreading.

According to the latest immunological and serological studies, the overall lethality of Covid-19 (IFR) is about 0.1% and thus in the range of a strong seasonal influenza (flu).

Ahh, that makes more sense. I wonder how many new cases in S.A. are people who ride Via?

no. I said 2x flu. I said you would never be able to tell who was a fatality of only covid without comorbidities. You will never be able to prove that.

You can prove that lockdowns caused more harm than good

Ask TimDunkem he lied about having it
