there are still plenty of conservative subs. the donald wasn't killed for being conservative any more than chapotraphouse was for being far left... it was for flagrant violations of their policies
Muh racism. Grow a nutsack, I stopped caring about that word when I turned 30 years old
This is an ideological battle over information. Notice the lack of statistics coming from BLM. Just incoherent emotion.

What exactly did chapo trap house (whatever the it is) do to get banned?
6 pages in, and conservatives still can’t tell me what’s stopping them from banding together and making a conservative Facebook or twitter.
i'd never heard of them until today... but evidently its an edgy podcast where they promote political violence, and the dedicated subreddit was probably full of comments of that sort
Back when AaronY posted a lot he complained about them whenever he wasn’t complaining about Rose twitter (another thing I wouldn’t know about if not for this site).
Didn't the son of JFK's killer joined some conservative Twitter lookalike? I think there are some... probably the race baiting and trolling doesn't work as well when they all agree.
Break off and create your own? Oh like the 'War of Northern Aggression'
Times have changed. Both political parties race bait and troll.
No, like a website.
Not everything is a war.
Oh. So like 8chan.
Whatever happened to that
It's 8kun.top now.
Must not have been that important to you....
It's obvious you don't care about being called a racist, so I wasn't even using it as an insult. You're past that stage of Conservative Self-Victimhood Grief. I'm just explaining to you that you're not being censored.
How does it feel to find yourself as the extremist?
How am I the extremist?
Ya ya ya. Nothing is happening. Nothing has changed.
Scroll up. Numerous examples of censorship

So some of your family members are black? Your parents were uber racist?
What is your angle in this. I'm just a white person with a white family supporting white issues.
It isn't censorship if you were told what the rules are and you broke them, which apparently is what happened here.
They just need to find a place where racists and those inciting violence are welcome.
I read thru the mega thread on there. Good point about lack of transparency. Who was banned and why. How is the community now better off.
I preferred society/social media before the introduction of "shutting down hate speech". Maybe I am bias because the censorship seems to be overwhelmingly one sided. But then we enter the debate of "only white people are racist. My hate group is actually anti-racism"
I made no distinction in color of skin... that's your own prerogative.
And whether you agree or not with anit-hate speech rules, that's also your thing. Nothing stopping you from creating your own reddit that allows those things, like many other services (you mentioned 8chan) before.
I will add that you'll only see more of this type of thing if that section 230 is eradicated (because Trump got butthurt with Twitter). Once platforms are liable for their user's contents, no sane company is going to expose themselves to any questionable civil liability.
As a Democrat (and assuming Liberal) you don't find this move to run off troubling? Your community also loses because it becomes an echo chamber. And all of this because peoples feelings were hurt.
Interesting. I will look into that.
I still haven't posted anything political on Facebook but this likely ban on beaches this weekend (while protest continue) has me raddled
Never voted democrat, so I don't consider myself a democrat. I readily admit to being liberal on social issues.
I think you're still missing the point. These are companies that just don't want to be singled out because they allow hate speech, or provide a medium for the crazies that go on rampages to post a manifesto, etc.
At the end of the day, they make money with advertising, etc, and just don't want to be associated with the s of society. For that group, the internet is big enough, and has a low enough barrier of entry where they can probably relocate.
You didn't answer the question.
How am I the extremist?
