Isn’t access to a gated community like this restricted to only those that live in the community, those that are invited by the homeowners that live in the community, and workers doing repairs or maintenance on the homes or grounds?

in an upscale gated community like this, isn't there private security to handle this type of situation?

In this situation, I would think it would be safer to stay in the house and turn on the security system as opposed to going outside with weapons.
Private security is a big expense. I can't think of a single gated community I have seen in central Texas with manned security booths.

You ing dumbass. I said the majority of bovine methane emissions comes from belches, not farts. Scientific fact, asshole.
Here...maybe this will jog your memory...

Technically, they don't fart. They belch.
It's funny that you can't just admit your were wrong.

the only one I know of here in San Antonio that has a security booth With a guard is the Dominion. The gated community I live in doesn’t have a guard at the gate but there is security that drives around the neighborhood.

I only know of one in this area. And it's a f'ing hassle. You have to give them your license and they write down the number. They also write down your tag info. And they ask you the name and address of people you're going to see.

Ruminant livestock – cattle, sheep, buffalo, goats, deer and camels – have a fore-stomach (or rumen) containing microbes called methanogens, which are capable of digesting coarse plant material and which produce methane as a by-product of digestion (enteric fermentation): this methane is released to the atmosphere by the animal belching.

So are you standing by your comment, "technically they don't fart"?

    Because technically, they do.

I didn't call castle doctrine. I said if it was a private road the mob was clearly trespassing.
Castle doctrine is basically the point of this thread.

Trespassing is a different matter. They weren't trespassing on those homeowners' property.

There are multiple gated communities that have guards in SA.

Many guards are only part time but some are full time.
It is very expensive but they get tips and lots of presents for Xmas.
I guess I have more friends that like to hide in a medieval fortress like compound that only works for keeping heavy traffic out. If they get ripped off it's usually by the workers they have let in during the day to fix their individual fortress. Or even more common the kids themselves that live in dat hood.

    Silly stuff.

Are you ing re ed? You can see it right off the bat. That's their property the rioters are on. That's not the street, which is way further back.
TheGreatYacht See, these chumpettes don't bother to learn the simplest things as they call for their mob justice.

Im trying to figure out why other neighbors did not get their arms out and brandish them?
Or did they? Any interviews with the neighbors? Or was the mob just after this one couple?
Derp this is the real thing.
    You got any answers?

Having read the HOA docas for my own HOA, I know exactly which streets are owned by the HOA and which are owned by the county. The corporation owns some of them, and sets aside money in the budget for their repairs.

I would imagine it would be the same, especially in a gated community. It would pretty much have to be that way if you are putting up a gate. I don't imagine it could possibly be legal to block off a public road like that.
And when you move out, you don't get to sell the 1/250 part of the private streets you "own"

Actually I would think this would piss off homeowners who are serious about guns. The act of pulling them is not a joke. If this really was a re ed over reaction, which it's seems to be, someone or people who is/are serious about a threat just got an excuse for testing a homeowner.

Sounds correct because you don't get reimbursed for the multiple times a new gate has to be put up (and the HOA pays) because a homeowner rams it accidentally.

It’s the sidewalk that they’re on. I don’t know if it’s been determined that they own the sidewalk.
