It blows me away how ignorant of the law people are.
If you live in a gated community, it is 100% private property, its streets are wholly owned by the development and thus private property. The home owners pay for those streets and thus if you are there without consent of a home owner you are trespassing.
Now with that said, I don't know the laws in Missouri, but the homeowners are will within their rights to protect their property and the community in general because it is private property.
Now the rest is he said she said, but they did point their weapons at the crowd, that is a huge mistake and is an act of assault. Know your gun laws people, unless you are in danger you cannot point a gun at someone. Here in Texas we are a stand your ground state, you can shoot if you are threatened and that includes your property. I didn't see in the video anyone threatening them so there is a case against the couple. However with the fact that they did break down the gate and the violent history of the rioters, there is enough cause to point your weapon might be enough to even fire. The big problem is that the courts are lib s and they don't care about the laws if it goes against their political beliefs.
