The Biden mistake within the mistake is his silence on the crime and violence epidemic. The fact that nearly all these cities are run by Democrats puts a special obligation on Biden and his party to find solutions.

But you can’t solve a problem you don’t acknowledge, and the failure to address the urban bloodshed is a major miss.

If that pattern continues all week, Dems will have given Trump a major opening. Count on him hammer it home until November.
Why haven't the Republicans solved the poverty/ unemployment problem? The poorest states are red states.

Bill Clinton’s convention speech in 2016 was horrible, he spent all his time trying to humanize Shillary and it came off as forced, but prior to that his convention speeches were legendary. Hopefully they told him to take the gloves off and go after Trump in his speech.

Meanwhile with Hillary I don’t see any positive outlook. It would be best if her speech was an apology about how running an awful campaign and losing to Trump is her biggest regret, but god knows her ego won’t ever allow for that. I’m sure it’ll be her telling voters they made a mistake in 2016 and that they shouldn’t do it again, since with Hillary it’s everyone else’s fault but hers.

Having the Clintons at the rally is a mistake. You either own them or you don't. For the past 4 years they were "Ding" as if they weren't part of the system any longer. Now they are. It just shows that regardless of the face of the VP, the DNC is offering the same product they offered before. Obama isn't walking through that door.

I never get a straight answer to this question.

Why is West Virginia dead last in median family income among all 50 states? It’s over 90% white, extremely religious, has a Republican Governor, a Republican super majority at the state legislature level and one of the most deregulated business environments in the country. West Virginia is very much the geneous conservative utopia that Republicans think the rest of the country should be, why is it so ing poor?

The AP said a 10-15 second soundbye in a 19 minute speech was distorted and misleading.

Anything else from the other 18 minutes and 45 seconds of the speech to fact check, or was that it?

    Too glib by half.

States can't defiicit spend when public emergencies and recessions happen, services have to be cut and employees laid off, which leads to even more poor people and homeless people.

Not helping states in a pandemic/recession is economically brain dead.

Have you ever been there? It is remote, with rugged mountains, very little usable land, no airports close and nothing to attract industry. What little they had went offshore in the last 50 years. Coal was once big but has been replaced with natural gas...There just aren't any jobs.

The question was rhetorical , my overall point was that blaming West Virginia's problems on conservative politicians at the state/local level makes about as much sense as blaming Baltimore or Detroit's problems on liberal politicians at the state/local level. The major problems facing WV/Baltimore/Detroit/etc. (namely a lack of jobs stemming from automation and globalism) weren't caused by policy at the state/local level and can't be fixed by policy at the state/local level.

he's probably going to lose his seat in a few months... maybe getting him exposure is a hail mary swing without much cost investment to help him in that race
    exactly

the Dems (actually both sides) should honestly do that with all the swing senate races

It's not a swing senate race. Doug Jones trailed Tuberville 52% to 35% in the most recent poll and 50% to 40% in the poll prior to that. Jones' only shot at keeping the seat was capitalizing on the rift between Sessions and Trump if Sessions won the primary, once Trump's candidate won the primary that race was open and shut.

Regardless, I agree that candidates in winnable races like Cal Cunningham and Sara Gideon should be getting national exposure, if for no reason other than money raising purposes. Gabby Giffords is speaking at the convention which effectively is exposure for Mark Kelly. Hickenlooper is a s bag so I'm fine with him getting no exposure. If he actually needs a boost from national exposure to win a senate race in Colorado, the Dems might as well burn it all down at that point.

I'm not disputing that there are fake numbers out there FFS.

Do you have any stats to show the overall actual death rate is rising?
It's on you to prove they're fake numbers.

And yes, we already had that conversation where aggregate deaths were substantially up, and you fumbled it. Who can forget?
